Born in Williamstown, Massachusetts, Perry was raised in the city of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada. At age 15, he moved to Los Angeles to live with his father, actor John Bennett Perry. In addition to performing in several high school stage productions, he was an avid tennis player. He ranked number 17 nationally in the junior singles category and number three in the doubles competition. After graduation, Perry landed the leading role in the television series, "Boys Will Be Boys." His other television credits include "Home Free," "Sydney," a recurring role on "Growing Pains," as well as starring roles in such television movies as "Deadly Relations," "Call Me Anna" and "Dance 'til Dawn." His feature film credits include "Fools Rush In," "Edwards and Hunt: The First America Road Trip," "A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon," "She's Out of Control" and "Parallel Lives." In addition to acting, Perry also enjoys writing. He sold his first pilot, "Maxwell's House" to Universal Television.
