Here is the story why I go by CaptMaggie on the internet.

All my life, I've been called by my middle name; I know it's a little weird, but that's just the way it happened. I'm not going to bore you with details. In sixth grade, a good friend of mine (who conincidently went by her middle name) started calling me "Beckett" as as nickname for Rebecca, my middle name. Then, when I got into the eigth grade, I decided I wanted to be called by my first name, so everyone started calling me Maggie, which became my nickname. May I say that all this happened before I started watching Sliders, so when I started watching Sliders I noticed that one of the female leads, Maggie Beckett, had my name. So I took advantage of it, and stole my name back. :-) SO there's the story.

History:Maggie was a Captain in the marines on her world, and was happily married. After her husband was hurt in a accident, she stopped flying planes to spend more time with him. Her husband was killed by Colonel Rickmen (whom she had a affair with a few years prior) and she joined the Sliders after her home earth was destroyed. She fell in love with Quinn before he was joined with Mallory, and still harbors feeling for him that she has chosen to now hide. She now slides from world to world in hopes of finding Earth Prime and maybe finding Quinn and starting a new life.
