The answer can be found in the book of Matthew chapter 28 verses 19-20 where it says, "Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen." This passage of scripture is referred to as the Great Commission. That just means that we Christians are committed to seeing the world saved.
