MISSION STATEMENT
The Association of Iranians in Washington State (AIWS) was formed in 1988 as a non-profit organization to promote and advance the Persian culture, traditions, and arts; to assist fellow Iranians in need; to create a deeper sense of community among Iranians, and to encourage better relations between the Iranian community and groups with other cultural backgrounds.
AIWS is strictly a non-political, non-religious organization and is operated by an elected, non-paid, volunteer board of directors.
The board of directors members and elected officers donate their time and services generously, and are not financially compensated.
The board of directors members are elected yearly in accordance to the by-laws of AIWS (a copy of the by-laws may be requested directly from AIWS). The board of directors members are responsible for all administrative decisions. The Association of Iranians in Washington State, Inc. is a non-profit organization registered in the State of Washington (see address) with a tax-exempt status (Section 501/c/3) granted by the Internal Revenue Service (EIN: 04-3031254).
All funds pledged and donated to the (AIWS) are used to achieve the goals set forth in the Mission Statement. Your donations are tax deductible in accordance with the law.
