Well for this race, Mike's car was so hooked up.
I knew that if he ever had it running good and the
cars were stacked in his favor, he would win a
Main Event. And guess what??? He did.. I was riding
with him and I thought this was so much fun. We took
the lead at about lap 14 or 15 and held it to the end,
which is 35 laps. Now to come off cloud nine and
do it again next week. Mike is going to race the Mini
Stock car # 5 next weekend. Remember a couple of weeks
ago he drove it and won the Trophy Dash. Well, I hope
he does good again. After the race and Mike got
to take a victory lap, well he took the flag and
headed to the pits, to tech. He said that he had
told them that if he ever won that he was keeping
the checkered flag. They had him take it back and
have his picture taken for the win. Of course my
hair was stuck to my head as it was so hot and you
are not allowed to go to the pits first. Oh well,
Mike said that on a couple of the pictures he was
giving me rabbit ears on the back of my head.
Nathan Fairall run his '72' car as Stephanie's '7'
car and placed 2nd in the Main Event. I looked over
to the side and seen Nathan next to us and just wanted
Mike to hurry up and hoping the race would just end.
But it turned out okay. He never caught us. He did
say after the race that he gave it his all, and just
couldn't pull to the front. But a good race he
gave and 2nd he took.
Clarence still didn't have his Mini Stock running good, but, I think its now ready for the next race. It is sounding good now.
