During this race Mike was hooked up. He qualified fast time for the bomber division. We went out for the 'Trophy Dash', but were just going to take a couple of laps. It is hard to win a trophy dash if you are on the outside pole rear, with the 4 fastest cars and only 4 laps. So Mike decided that he would go for 2 of the laps and then come in and save his engine for the points races. No points in the Trophy Dashes.
They run three heats and Mike was in the fastest of the three. Of course he started in the back of the pack of 7 cars. He finished in 5th place. You just get sandbagged and still not enough laps to do much. These run 10 laps.
In the Main Event, we started in 19th position and finished in 3rd. I do feel if we would have had about four or five laps more then we could have taken 1st again. We also got sandbagged behind the 27 car and the 61 car. We finally broke out of this but only had five laps to go. But third is a nice finish and respectable.

Mike Doss drove Stephanie's car and he did a real good job. He got 4th fastest qualifing and this put him on the pole for the 'Trophy Dash'. Well he won the trophy. Good Job Mike
In the heat, he started in 4th and finished in 4th.
In the Main Event, He started in 16th place and finished in 2nd.

Right On... Clarence was finally able to race again. Of course he is just learning the track. He placed 3rd in his heat (due to default). We were hollering for each car that ended up coming off the track as this put Clarence one position closer in his finish. They started the race with just 6 cars.
In his Main Event he was to start in the front of the pack of cars and decided that he would rather start in the back as he was just learning the track. He got a 5th place finish in the Main Event. This again was because of the other car needing to go off the track.
