He did drive the Mini Stock #5 and do a real good job. It was his first time on the track with a Mini Stock. He was satisfied with himself for that race.
Clark did a real good job. He won the heat race. He was 6th
fastest qualifier. He didn't spin out not once during any of
these races. After the race I told him that I missed watching
him spin out, and I nicknamed him 'Good for
a spin Clark'. He told me that he would spin out next
week for me. He is a pretty cool guy. If Mike can't win,
then it would be Clark that I would want to win. I am not quite
sure where he finished in the Main Event but I think that he
placed in sixth place.
Lori is the #10 car. She did a good job. She was in the Bomber
'B' Trophy Dash and brought home the Trophy. This is the dash
for the 4 slowest qualifiers. She really did a good race tonight.
She hasn't raced in quite some time and she was back. We were
glad to have her racing again. She put up a good race with
George Riehl for first place in the heat. He finally caused her
to lose her concentration and took her for the win. Watch her
next week. She is doing much better than in the beginning.
Stephanie's car was not ready to race. Mike Doss, their mechanic
was away on a Southwest Tour. He is also a mechanic for one
of those cars. He is supposed to be back on the 29th and so
we are all hoping that her car will be ready for next weekend.
It has been quite awhile that she hasn't raced. Hopefully, they
will be able to find the parts for Mike's car easily enough
so that his will be ready too. If not then he will drive
Stephanie's. I guess that only time will tell. But Casey Saunders
drove his car with her number so that she isn't losing overall
points on her car. Thanks again Casey
Clarence didn't have his car ready. He still has some carburator
problems to work out. I think that he will have it ready by this
weekend. At least I am hoping. Of course if he keeps his
races under 5 (I think) then next year he can run for 'rookie
of the year' in the Mini Stock Division. He didn't want to
take it back on the track until he had it so that it would
run right.
