JULY 4th

blue star bar

This was a hundred lap 'A' Main and was the last race for the evening. After the race they had an excellent firework show.

Mike's bomberThis is Mike's car and he did an awesome job. He got a third place finish on the fourth of July. Also he repainted and put new fenders on his car so that he could carry the flag. It really was a neat thing and afterwards he was asked by alot of people for autographs . I think that the points are on the comeback as he also placed 3rd in the heat and 4th in the trophy dash.

Stephanie's bomberThis is Stephanie's car and Bill Shura drove her car. He was the 'Rookie of the year' last year and is a very good driver. He was really rockin and then he had to go off. His pit crew wouldn't allow him to come back on the track until they fixed the car but then he was back again. After the race I asked him what happened and he told me that the rearend bolts broke and he was going down the straight aways sideways. Oh well that's the bad luck of racing and he still did an awesome job.

Clark's bomberThis is Clark's car and he was doing a good job. He took home his first Trophy Dash win.'Congratulations' I really am glad that Clark won if Mike couldn't. They are the 'BAD BOYS RACING' His car is nice looking and the same color as Mike and his last year. Mike and Clark started racing together last year towards the end of the season. Their first car was the '10' car but it had the number '9' on it. They decided to split the next year (this year) as they both wanted to drive all races.

The cousin car
that Mike Doss droveThis is the car that Mike Doss drove that night, he got a fifth place finish. He is a 2-time track champion in the Bomber Class. He also has a Street Stock, number 88. He hasn't been able to run this year as he needs his motor refreshed, and as we know this is a high expense. Currently he is Mike's Mechanic and does a good job at that. But we can tell he still didn't lose his touch for racing. He did good.

This is dedicated to a great person who loved racing and had a heart attack and died on this day. He sponsered many of the racers out there, including Stephanie. He was the owner of A-1 Transmissions. He was racing the '10' car of Lori Miller. He qualified, ran the heat race, and the 'B' Main. He placed 4th in the 'B' Main allowing him to transfer to the 'A' Main. He died before the 'A' Main, The car did go out in his honor driven by Lori Miller.

You will be missed Ed
