~*Chapter 27*~

As he paid for our drinks and we left, we caught sight of a person in a blue jacket and Wildcats cap. "B!" Nick yelled, making everyone look, Brian turned around, at the sound of his name, and realizing it was us, looked down. We walked toward him, his head still bowed. "What did you do?" I whispered.

"Nothing, he's trying not to cause any attention," he replied, laughing. Realizing how stupid it sounded, watching Brian hunched over, made me laugh.

"Not cause attention? He looks like he's dead, but didn't fall over," I said, between giggles.

"Yeah, well, that's Brian," he said back, shrugging. As we got closer, Brian threw his head up. I yelped, realizing what was looking back at me. Brian had put on a mask, making look 30 years older. "Holy shit, Frick, you scared the daylights outta her," Nick scolded.

"Just you, Frack? It seems as if she wasn't the only one scared," Brian laughed, pulling off the mask.

"NO! I wasn't scared!" Nick defended.

"Yeah, whatever you say," Brian answered, still laughing at his stupid prank.

"Oh, you're gonna get it for that one," Nick said, playfully punching his best friend.

"What the hell was that for?!" I yelled, regaining my composure.

"Sorry," Brian apologized, “It was only meant to scare Nick, not you.”

“Oh, okay, but please, watch it next time.”

“Yes, mom, now are you guys ready?” Brian asked, holding out his ticket to the attendant.

“Yeah, all set,” I said, grabbing my carry-on and showing the attendant my ticket all at once.

“What’s in there?” Nick questioned, pointing to my bag.

“Stuff..” I said, mysteriously.

“Oh yeah? What kinda stuff?” he asked.

“Hmm... you’ll see,” I said, walking away.

“C’mon, tell me! Otherwise, I’ll tickle you,” he said, holding out his hands.

“Oh, yeah, scary, you don’t even know where I’m ticklish,” I said. Brian just trailed behind, trying to act like he didn’t know us.

“Well.... everyone is ticklish right about..... here,” he said, poking lightly at my side. I laughed, and yelped at the same time.

“Ooh! You’re gonna get it for that!” I said, running after him.

“Yeah, we’ll see,” he said, running away.

“You’re quiet all of a sudden,” I said, stopping next to Brian, as Nick kept running.

“Nah, just thinking,” he said, his voice trailing.

“About what?” I asked, curiously.

“Wondering if Leighanne and I acted this way when we first met,” he said, laughing.

“Not funny!” I said.

“Well, you guys act pretty immature together,” he laughed. I thought about his point.

“Well.. I guess you’re right on that one,” I said.

“ARE YOU READY TO RUMBLE?!!” Brian exclaimed, out of nowhere. We both started humming the beat.

“Oh yeah, c’mon let’s go, Nick’s probably already there,” I said, sprinting away.

“You mean, he beat you?” Brian teased, catching up. I playfully punched him, as we found our seats, and I sat next to Nick.
