State Route 28

SR 28 starts at Jct US 2/US 97 north of East Wenatchee and heads easterly via Quincy, Ephrata, and Odessa to Jct US 2 on the west side of Davenport. When first posted in 1964, the western terminus of SR 28 was Jct US 2 near downtown East Wenatchee. From 1950 to 1975, US 2 crossed the Columbia River on a 4 lane arched cantilever truss bridge near downtown east Wenatchee. In 1975, a new bridge north of town was completed as part of a US 2 bypass of the Wenatchee-East Wenatchee area. SR 28 was extended north from downtown East Wenatchee via former US 2 to an intersection east of the new bridge. SR 28 is now 135.32 miles long.

Before 1964, SR 28 from East Wenatchee to Quincy was part of PSH 10 and from Quincy to Davenport part of PSH 7.
