State Route 241

When first posted as such in January 1967, SR 241 started at Jct US 12 just east of Sunnyside and headed north to Jct SR 24. I-82 was opened to traffic in the Sunnyside area in 1982 or 83. US 12 was moved from what is now called the Yakima Valley Highway to the I-82 alignment, about a mile south. SR 241 was extended south to I-82/US 12 Exit 69. Effective April 1, 1992, SR 241 was extended further south to Jct SR 22 at Mabton. SR 241 is now 25.21 miles long.

From 1967 to 1970, unposted legislative number for SR 241 was SSH 3V.
