Family Christmas Portrait

Here is my siblings and I. This was taken just after I had started to have a "swallowing" problems, but hadn't been to a doctor yet. That's my younger sister Jill, and her dog Evie, me and my cat Toadie, and my younger brother, Ben.

My Short Hair Style

I have never had hair this short before, but after I was diagnosed, we decided to try some new looks! (Since it was going to be leaving me anyway.) I also have never tried "blonde" before, so my mom put in a few chunks. Oh, and my family raises llamas, so I had to get a llama in the shot.

I'm easy access now! Hee Hee!

Here is the day after I had my port put in. We did some editing to the picture (too bad) so you only get the good shot!

THANK YOU HILDA!

Here is me, home after a rough day of my very first chemo. I look excited, but I hadn't barfed yet. Thank you Dr. Hilda for all the great hats and tattoos to decorate my head with. Oh, and the tattoo bandaids! Very cool! I am the envy of everyone at the oncogist office.

Ewww! Bad hair day!

I had just gotten home from my first stay in the hospital (WBC count too low, and temp. too high). It was 15 days out from my first dose of chemo, and my hair started to go! It didn't bother me, it just was that it was all over me, my bed, my jello, everything! So, my dad, my brother, and myself kissed our hair goodbye!

Ben gets artistic....

My brother couldn't wait for my hair to go so he could start decorating my head. This was the first design he had, which involved all parts of my head (see below).

...and the back

Here is the side I couldn't see. Those lines on the side are part of the wings, not legs.

THANK YOU TAMMY AND FAMILY!

Surgical scrub companies make caps with all types of fabrics. Family friends sent me a few, and they are wonderful when it's too hot inside for a fuzzy hat. That, and they breath well too. Thank you Tammy, Kira, Heather, Ashley, and Mike! You guys are the best! Love you!

I just couldn't leave this one out!

Just another shot of me and Evie, resting on Jill's bed.

Linda, Linda, Linda!

Another attempt to keep my head warm. Another family friend made this awesome hat out of.....get this.....goat hair! (Don't worry, it's been washed) Thank you guys, the hat is wonderful, the balloon is colorful, and the candy will help keep my weight up! And once again, I had to get a llama in the shot. This one was a get well gift, and a puppet too! Since it was friends from work (a vet clinic) the llama also has a central line!
