Viva Las Vegas!

Spring break 2004, my first "real" spring break ever, which is kind of sad, since I have been in college for so long. It was a blast, plus I have a few more things to check off on my "to do" list...hmmm, visit Vegas, dress as a wench, pay a hotel to use a port-o-potty, swipe getto free souvenirs (sugar cubes, stir sticks, and those plastic buckets you use at the slot machines) .......oh the list goes on!

On the strip!

So here I am on the strip down by the gold nugget with my roomies for the week, Shawna, Monica, myself and my cousin Katie (BTW, sorry for any mis-spellings of names!)

Well crap....

My cousin Sarah was getting married while we were down there (the main reason for going in the first place). So ladies night out before the wedding, we went and saw the "Thunder from Down Under", woo woo...or not. Anyway, not quite my cup o' tea! This is one of a series of photos we had taken. Long story short, but you can see my cousin getting ready to yell at a friend, while the guy she is on is doing a weird frog eye look. Yeah, and that's all I have to say about that....

And speaking of crap...

What are these you ask? Looks like a port-o-potty to me! Yeah, the hotel landscapers seemed to manage to break a major pipe to the hotel, which then proceeded to make none of the 500+ potties work, nor any water for the bars and resturants. So, they rented us port-o potties to use. Fab-u-lous!! Water, beer?

A wenching we will go!

So this is what a pirate wedding looks like? Sarah got married on the pirate ship at Treasure Island Hotel, in costume and all. A fair amount of us crazy folk donned attire for this. And no, I do not have a beer in my hand, it wasn't even noon yet!

Getto wenchs are cool, in more than one way..

Las Vegas happened to be extremely warm for March, like in the 80-90 degree range. I felt kind of frumpy in my cotton wench wear, but after standing outside for a while, I came to understand that getto wenches are cool yo! Anyway, here is a crazy group of wedding goers, including myself. You can see my cousin Sarah and her new husband Kevin just over my shoulder. See um? ?

AWWWWWW!

My cousin Katie (maid of honor), my Grandpa Bill (Dad's dad) and myself (getto wench extraordnair) pose for a family photo in front of the ship

And no, we weren't smokin' crack, either!

Another group photo of us crazy wench type. I do have to say, that there were some guys in costume for the wedding, but I just don't think they understand the importance of releasing your inner wench :)

I promise more photos to come as I get them scanned and uploaded!
