Wild and Free
Snow caps the lonely mountains
The wind blows through the pines
The air is crisp and sweet smelling
The blue sky seems like it were lost in time.
They lope through the green forest
On padded feet of silence
To meet their family and friends
Through little trails they wind
A life solitary but social
wilderness hunter on the prowl
searching for a scarce meal
a scent of family brings a lonely howl
Where will you be tomorrow
beautiful canine of the wilds
As they roam the forests quiet and free
Please leave them there for our children to see.
Wolves create the reality our hearts crave to be wild and free.
An estimated 8,000 wolves, live in British Columbia.
The Nothern coast holding some of the higher populations.
Unfortunately, still today, hunters may kill 3 wolves daily.
Are we starving so badly
that we need to kill 3 wolves per hunter daily?
