Michael Osebhajimete A. Omoighe
Mike Omoighe is one of Nigeria's most renowned artists whose modernist works
have intrigued, and excited admirers and critics alike.
Described as being as complex as his art, he cannot be pinned down to one
stylistic form. His ideas and his art are described as "an amalgamism of
the spirit of the 20th/21st century Nigerian art".
His art, both drawings and paintings reflect a different perspective of
Nigerian Art. His art also reflects his personal and national experiences, at
once tragic and inspirational. He says " My dark dark night of soul made me
grow".
