Leo has been lucky enough in love to have found not one, but two soul-mates, fifty years apart. As a mortal being, Leo fell in love with and married Lillian, around the beginning of World War II. Leo cared deeply for Lillian, but his death was to separate them forever. In a final farewell to his wife, Leo appeared to her in a dream in order to help her deal with his death and allow her to move on with her life as he was with his. In 1998, Leo met his future wife, Piper Halliwell. The relationship was a rocky one from the beginning. Whitelighters were forbidden to fall in love with humans, and to have a relationship with one of their charges was unthinkable. However, Piper and Leo simply couldn't keep apart. Even when Piper was dating Dan, Leo fought for her attention. And in the end, Piper chose Leo. They attempted to have a secret wedding service during a total eclipse, when the Elders would not be able to see down to Earth. However, this was ruined by a then-evil Cole. Piper and Leo did eventually tie the knot and their marriage was blessed by Grams and the Elders.
