Love Connections
As with Piper, Phoebe has found it hard to find the right guy earlier on. Her flirtation with the impossible partner is best illustrated by the time she fell for a black-and-white movie character. Phoebe found her soul mate, Cole Turner, a man who was half demon and half human. It was instant attraction for them both upon meeting. Little did Phoebe know that Cole was sent to kill the Charmed Ones as an undercover demon working for the Triad. The same went for Cole, who didn't expect to fall for Phoebe, one of his targets. Inevitably, Phoebe found out about Cole, his past, and his intentions. After fighting against him, she finally accepted who he was after he announced he would never use his demonic powers for evil. Phoebe and Cole got married, but things were destined to go wrong from the beginning, unbeknownst to Phoebe, Cole had been taken over by the Source of All Evil. When Phoebe eventually discovered this, torn between the love of her life and her sisters, she decided to break the Power of Three and stand by her husband. However, her desire to do good led to the break-up of their marriage. When Cole was killed at her hand, Phoebe was emotionally free of her past love for Cole, having moved on with her life. Since Cole, Phoebe has had a number of love interests, such as Miles who died despite her trying to save him, and Jason Dean, the new owner of the Bay Mirror. None of these relationships have lasted, however.
