Shannen Doherty
Shannen was born on April 12, 1971, in Memphis, Tenn.,where she lived until she was 7. Her family then moved to Los Angeles, and she got her first big acting break when the late Michael Landon discovered her in an episode of "Father Murphy." He cast her at age 11 as Jenny Wilder in the series "Little House: A New Beginning." She went on to star in "Beverly Hills, 90210" from 1990 to 1994. She has also performed in many films, for both the big and small screen. She starred with Christian Slater and Winona Ryder in the 1989 black comedy "Heathers". Other performances include the teen comedy "Girls Just Want to Have Fun" with Helen Hunt and Sarah Jessica Parker, Ron Howard's "Night Shift," and "Mall Rats," directed by Kevin Smith, "A Burning Passion: The Margaret Mitchell Story," and starred opposite Antonio Sabato, Jr. in the Showtime original film "Jailbreakers," directed by William Friedkin. She also starred in the miniseries "Gone in the Night" and "Robert Kennedy and His Times," as well as the television movies "Sleeping with the Devil," "The Ticket", "Friends 'Til the End." and "Satan's School for Girls," a supernatural thriller which also stars Kate Jackson, Julie Benz and Daniel Cosgrove. She has also directed several episodes of Charmed. Shannen is divorced, and currently dating Julian McMahon.
