So True

I'm not sure what the title of this is, but it's very true. Everyone should read this.

The day someone famous dies, like a political leader or a billionaire, the public instantly react with extreme sadness. Even though the week before they were on the phone to their friend telling them how badly this now dead person had dealt with this, that and the other or how life was unfair because this billionaire had five point four billion whereas the other billionaire had six.

The truth behind the sadness is it’s just a front in most cases and really, the publicity you get from standing in front of a news camera and saying “I’m so sorry they died, the world will never be the same without them” far outweighs the publicity you get from sitting at home saying “pah, I never liked them anyway”

But, today, no one famous had died. There was a monkey from an advert who got a nasty case of the sniffles, but that was it in the fame department. However, saying that no one died would be totally wrong. Just because they are not famous, and don’t interrupt your favourite Saturday morning TV programme with a newsflash doesn’t mean people are not dying.

You never knew her, she was known only by about a hundred people, and twenty came to the scattering of her ashes. Her name was Eternity, and as her name suggests, she was not ready to be dead when she died. She wanted to go on much longer than that.

If this story is going to go anywhere, then you should know a little more about Eternity. I mean, the woman and not the length of time if you see where I am going with this. She was not a spectacular or astounding person, she was just a deep thinker and she pondered mysteries, and there are far too little of people like her in today’s society.
