"The Four Seasons"

In the spring, everything grows,
from little birds to little kids' toes,
and tiny daffodils,
sitting by the water mills.
Grapevines grow on the fence post,
some say, "I love this season most."

In summer things are in full bloom,
with Grandmother working on her loom.
Birds teach chicks how to fly,
soon they're flying 'crosst the sky.
Purple grapes grow on the fence post,
some say, "I love this season most."

In the fall,
autumn colors are enjoyed by all.
Adults rake yards with summer's leaves,
children, jumping, erase this work with ease.
Grapes are picked off the vines on the post,
some say, "I love this season most."

In winter, snow falls;
animals strengthen their homes' walls.
Children run and play outside;
"Wear hats and mittens," their parents chide.
Frost grows on the vines on the post,
some say, "I love this season most."
