We'll start at the Dolphin fountain on the beach,
and go all the way to the north end of Santa Barbara.
The Fountain is a creation of S.B. sculpture artist Bud Buttons.
Going up the street we are passing the ??????? restaurant on State St. number "one".
You can take a Metropolitan electric bus for 25cents and go up and down State Street, but a walk is an experience that you will not soon forget.
Next, we'll cross Mission Creak.
On the right hand side of the street is the famous Santa Barbara Beach Bike Rental.
A little further up the street are two old but newly renovated hotels, one of them is the Californian on the left, and the other is State Street Hotel on the right.
The Santa Barbara Amtrak Station is the next notable landmark we'll pass.
On the other side of the street is "Big Dog" headquarters and their outlet store.
We are now approaching the 101 Freeway underpass. Before we get there we'll see two more restaurants. Irmgard is standing in front of the SB Pizza and Pasta Place, and next door is the famous SB Fish Company.
Bill on the sidewalk to the bridge,
And the view from the 101 Freeway bridge toward the Pacific Ocean.
