My earliest Wilkinson Ancestor was Asa Wilkinson who was born about 1805 in South Carolina. Asa married Betsy Dykes and they had a son named David Ginnings Wilkinson who was born in 1836 and died in 1911. David married Sarah H. Byrd (1838-1908) and they had a daughter named Sally J. Wilkinson who was born in 1860 and died in 1906. David and Sarah lived near Pine Apple, Alabama. Sally married James (Jim) H. Middleton (1854-1898).
