Aleksandra Kokotovic Miss Yugoslavia International 2002

Aleksandra Kokotovic has been in the world of fashion and art since she was really small.  She was one of the most experienced contestants that Yugoslavia has ever had.  This exceptional leady has it all, the beauty, the smarts and most of all she has love for her family and friends.  Aleksandra was born in most beautiful city as she says, Sarajevo.  She likes to write and hopefully one day she will publish her own book. We at Beauties of Miss Yugoslavia have a great honor to interview this incredible lady.

MB.- First of all I would like to congratulate you on all of your successes in fashion industry and beauty pageants.  From all the competitions which one did you like the most?

AK.- Thank you Milan.  There was a very good atmosphere in Turkey during Best Model of the World competition, because there were hundreds of models from all over the world, and also QCGirl International, which is also modeling competition.  There is always  more fun on modeling competitions then at Beauty pageants.  It was also wonderful during the preparations for Miss Yugoslavia 2001 in Greece.  All the girls were friendly and we all made some great friendships and also we visited some great places.  I am sure that this group of 30 finalists for Miss Yu 2001 was the best and most qualified group that Vesna Jugovic had competing for Miss Yu.

MB.- Can  you tell us little more about yourself?

AK.- I have been an artistic type of person all my life.  I paint, dance, write and design, which makes me complete, as well as everything in fashion world.  Traveling, family and friends fill me life in the best possible way.  I love to travel and collect different and exciting memories from all the parts of the world.  I would like to write a book, in which I would try to help thousands of  young people in things in which I am good and in things which I also enjoy.  I like being in love, because that feeling you can't produce when you want, it just happens and I love to feel that explosion as long as possible.

MB.- What is most important for you in life?

AK.-My family, friends and God are always with me.  Also, it is important that my days are busy.  I like having many chores, but the ones which I like.

MB.- This year you represented Yugoslavia at Miss International Pageant in Japan.  What are your memories from the competion?

AK.- I am very glad that I won this wonderful title of Miss International Yugoslavia, but the competition in Tokyo was not as exciting as I expected.  In fact, that was third most biggest international beauty competition, which should have been shown in the organization of the competition, but it was not. The organizers had a excuse for that.  This year all the girls were supposed to go to Hawaii for seven days, on top of ten days in Tokyo, but in America they asked for special security for all the girls, in light of recent terrorist attacks.  Because of that our visit to Japan was shortened and all the work that was supposed to be done in seventeen days was shortened to ten days, so we did not accomplish all that we wanted.  I stayed in Tokyo even after the competition, so I got the chance to visit that fascinating city.

MB.-Since you have a lot of experience with different Beauty pageants and Modeling competitions, could you tell us what is the difference between these two types of competitions in which one do you like better?

AK.-As I said before, I like modeling competitions better, because they are more laid back and models act more natural.  In beauty pageants everyone wants to show off, which is not the case with models.  During modeling competitions, models feel like they are doing fashion show, and organizers just chose some winners.  Both models and misses are friendly, and that is reason why you can enjoy yourself fully on all of these competitions.  There is a big difference between these competitions, because as a miss you have to fallow certain way of acting, which is also good.  In general, competitions are always interesting if they are not taken to seriously.  If you are going to meet nice girls, to have fun and visit different countries, then you are a winner in every aspect.

MB.-Lately you got couple licenses for different competitions.  What are you planning to do with them? And what are your plans for future?

AK.-Since I am, really, experienced in this work, I am planning to organize the competition, but only for BiH and maybe USA and Germany.  That is wonderful job to bring pretty and creative people around yourself and to help them with their presentation, and with that making a job which you enjoy doing.  Also my very long wish is to become fashion designer and I think it is a time to dedicate more time to my dream.

MB.- You are very successful model in Yugoslavia, America and many other parts of the world. Which are your most cherished memories from fashion shows you have done?

AK.- Couple wonderful girls and agents in world have became my good and dear friends with whom I work.  The moments we spent together, and shared together are my favorite memories.  Also, I remember many different designs that I wore, since I have a gift for design and I enjoy it.  I also like remembering all the exotic places I visited in which I worked with other models.  Shortly, I am a type of person which always has fun no matter where I am.

MB.-We have been talking about beauty for a while.  What is your definition of beauty?

AK.- Beauty is something that makes us feel good and while having it we don't get any interest out of it.  Beauty can touch even the hardest heart, but beauty without charm is like a hook without a bait.

MB.-Do you have any advice to our readers or anyone in general?

AK.- We are all born to win, but to be a winner, you have to plan on winning, you have to prepare for a win and expect a win!

MB.- Thank you so much for taking your time to talk to us.

AK.- Thank you!
