Svet- You are officially the most beautiful Yugoslavian girl.  How much did your life change since you got the crown?

A.S.- Many things are changed and will be changed, but most important of all is that I stayed the same person who still is not conscious what happen to me.  From time to time I think to myself " I am Miss Yugoslavia."

Svet- Many candidates usually say that they competed because of ability to meet so many great people instead of winning.  Is this the case with you.

A.S.-It always sounded so pathetic, even stupid, when girls say that they got into this contest only to meet new people, and almost always they say that it was not their idea to send the application, it is always a mom or friend that sent it in.  I am sure that every single one of us, who chose to enter, is hoping to be chosen, at leas in top ten, even though many do not want to say it.

Svet- What were you expecting before this years competition?

A.S.- Two years ago I competed in Miss Yugoslavia pageant, when I took the runner up spot.  This year I hoped I was going to make a step forward, or I would of had a feeling that two years I have stood in same place.  I wasn't totally sure that I can win, but to be honest, I was hoping for it.

Svet- Did your runner up title produce any gain for you?

A.S.- Sure it did.  First of all I had a chance to go to Germany to an international competition, and after that, when I got back to Yugoslavia, I did catalog and promotional jobs, commercials for Fuji, and some fashion shows during the Fashion Week.  In general, I think that each title gives an opportunity to show  your self in a right light, it is only a question how will you use your given chance.

Svet.- How was your day of competition?

A.S.- From the early morning I was really clumsy which made me feel like I am the clumsiest person in the world.  On the end, when I broke my makeup beg, which was a precious gift, I couldn't hold it any more and I started crying.  The other girls came over and told me it will be fine and that this might be a good sign.  Right before the start I felt much better because all the girls were really relaxed.  In difference from two years ago when I was really nervous this year I was cool.

Svet. What did you think about when they pronounced your name as a new Miss Yugoslavia?

MP.- First title that they called my name for was Miss Charm, which surprised me very much, and made me happy too, because many people told me that charm was not my best side and that I would have to practice and smile more often because that is not in my nature.  Second title was face of Fuji Film and Top model of Mona.  At the end came the most important title of Miss.  Even though I knew that one girl can take more titles at one competition, I did not think this would happen to me.  I can not find the words to explain how I felt that evening.

Svet- Did you get any bad comments since you won the title?

A. S.-  I heard, that some people say that I make myself look like a goody tissue, which is far away from truth.  And many people don't like that I am to relaxed, even though I am like that since I knew myself.

Svet.- In the jury was the prettiest sports man, Petar Kapisoda?  Were you hoping in your head that he will give you the prices?

A.S.- Truly, no!  I did not even think about him, and even if he had to give me a crown I would act normally.  I would have liked if last years miss Tijana Stajsic was present.  Watching at the earlier pageants, it is always the best when new miss gets a crown from old miss.

Svet.-  We only know that you are from Valjevo.  Can you tell us more about yourself?

A.S.- Maybe it is interesting to say that I finished Electrical High school, and for one year I was a host of a show on TV.  When time came to chose the college I decided to go into management because you can do a lot with it these days and it opens many doors for you.  I was vary happy when I got a scholarship for study of management for two years in Cyprus and one year in Paris.  And most important after all that a good job is waiting for me after the school.

Svet- Soon you will be going to Nigeria for finals of Miss World.  Are you scared of Islamic fundamentalists who are not happy that pageant is being held there.

A.S. - I can see that miss Jugovic trusts miss Morley, and I trust miss Jugovic so I think everything will be fine.  We already got our letters, and I think that everything is ready so I am peaceful abut it.

Svet- Did you start learning English so that same thing does not happen to you as it did to Tijana?

A.S.- I know Tijana personally, and I think that she speaks English good, and she was really nervous that is why she was not able to speak.  For sure it was not easy for her to get used to spotlight, and to understand question right and give a good and funny answer.  If I was in her spot, I would have tried to turn everything into a joke.  I would have probably, with smile, say "Please I need a translator".  As I heard no matter how much English I know, I will have a translator on my side so that I will be relaxed if it comes to that.

Svet- Finally, lets end on a positive note with a simple question.  Do you have a boyfriend?

A.S.- Yes, but I wouldn't like to talk about it.

Svet- Thank you.

A.S.- Thank you.
