This green velvet gown by Victor Edelstein has 3 buttons up the back and
was worn for private dinners at Kensington Palace. . Winning bidder
was Maureen Rorech for $66,300

Lot 16-Diana
wore this gown to a State Banquet for the King and Queen of Malaya, in
1993.
Designed by Catherine
Walker it is ivory silk crepe, with draped bodice and straight skirt. Also
owned by Maureen Rorech . $51,750.
Lot 17 -Diana wore this pale green/ivory striped dress to the film Accidental Hero in 1993 and the photographers had a field day capturing it on film. . The designer saw it as casual yet official. It had a thigh-high split and a shoulder revealing bodice . which looked wonderful on the stauesque princess. Gone were the low heel shoes in deference to her husband's height. Diana donned strappy Jimmy Choo high heel shoes for the solo occasion .
Diana wore it to several
official dinners as well. High bid was 34,500.

Lot 18--Diana first wore this dress on Feb 11 , 1987 in Portugal for a farewell banquet following their 4 day tour there.
Then again, November 14, 1987 on a visit to the Gulf State of Qatar. Out of courtesy she was included in the all male banquet . It then had a high neck and long sleeves, poufed at the shoulder..
Again she wore it in
1987 to dinner in Munich.
For this appearance
March 9, 1989 at the Savoy Hotel in London, it had been altered to a strapless
gown. The blue beaded Catherine Walker design has a short train
in back..
This strapless version
was also worn on the official visit to Nigeria for a state banquet at the
Presidential Palace Yaounde, also in March 1990.
It was purchased by
the Great American Doll Company for $36,800 They auctioned it on
Ebay and it was sold to Suzanne King.
Lot 19--Catherine
Walker designed this gown for the 1992 India Tour. This pink evening dress
with sequins and beads had a look of India about it. It sold at $61,900
It is owned by Maureen Rorech and is part of her Dresses For Humanity that
puts the dress on world-wide exhibition. Currently all Maureen's gowns,
are on display at Kensington Palace for a 10 year lease.

She wore it to a state visit to Japan also.
YOU magazine was the high bidder on this one.$75,100. It was available in miniature on a Franklin Mint Limited to 100 vinyl Diana doll. Although with far less beading than the original had.
