Selfless Love

Evil hung around the castle's wall,
A banshee appeared and wailed all night
Announcing death, it was her call
Somebody would be dead come light.

Deceit lurked about the Lady's room
A dark shadow sneaks around the hall
From the room there came a scream and a boom
Moving swiftly, the shadow raced and let loose a call.

In the room, in blood the Lady lay
Her life came to a tragic end
The shadow knelt, but do what he may
Letters of grief and vengeance he must send.

Tracking the killer, forcing laws to bend
The shadow brought about a mighty change
The killer he met and brought to an end
The shadow now was forced to travel the range.

The shadow, having lost his lady love
Roamed the land changing wrong to right
Doing things to please his lady dove
Working hard both day and night.
