1st Annual Oregon USGWA Championships, 2/24/02 Results

Oregon will also be hosting a Oregon State Junior Girls Championships to qualify for the newly added women's junior division at Fargo, ND this year. We are unsure at this time if we will qualify via a tournament or petition and mandatory camp process. This tournament is open to all oregon girls in the grades 9-12. Keep checking back for more details.

All Girls/Women's Team Practices Have Started - WE NEED YOU


Practices for the all girls team are being held Sunday's at 1:00pm. It's never too late to come on down there has been a great showing but I know all the girls in the area have not shown up. Now is the time to tell all the girls you know that wrestle to contact us about opportunities to wrestle in Girls Wrestling Tournaments. It is your time to shine as a wrestler. Keep a eye out here or contact us about practices and upcoming girls wrestling tournaments. Challange yourself and help other Oregon girls become better wrestlers by being at practices even if you choose not to attend any tournaments.

(bring to all practices: running shoes, swim suit, wrestling shoes, practice gear, great attitude)

Second Team honors go to Senior Shoni Plagmann from Lebonan and Freshman Samantha Lang from Tualatin. Making the third team was Freshman Shawn Swartzlender from Burns.

Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon Annouces Women's Wrestling Program


Pacific University has supported a few women wrestlers over the last two years but has now announced their creation of a women's program with a competition schedule. This is great news as Oregon has some tough women wrestlers.

SHONI PLAGMAN First Girl from a 4A school to wrestle in the Oregon State Wrestling Championships. Shoni is from Lebanon and will wrestle 112lbs at the Memorial Colliseum Feburary 22,23 & 24, 2001. Way to go girl!!!
