Jim Ross: It's Thursday Night, and that can only mean on thing. It's time for NWO Thursday Night Overdrive.

Jerry Lawler: You mean UWF Thursday Night Overdrive. JR, as much as you have been denying it the past few days, the UWF is here TO STAY!

Jim Ross: I don't think so. Just like it has in the past, the Net World Order will prevail.

Jerry Lawler: Maybe when such people as Chuck Reese and Shawn Hall were in charge, but who is going to stop Eric Bishoff? The current CEO, Steve Davis? I don't think so. The UWF will be in TOTAL control by the end of tonight.

Jim Ross: Well, eariler tonight, I managed to have a chat with NWO CEO Steve Davis. That will be shown later tonight, but first we have to get to the first match of the night, which is Blade taking on new comer Dex Holland.

Blade vs Dex Holland

Howard Finkle: The opening match for tonights NWO Thursday Night Overdrive is set for one fall.

["Totalimmortal" by The Offspring begins to play. The fans give a small pop as the newcomer Dex Holland makes his way to the ring.]

Howard Finkle: Introducing first, from Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 214 pounds, Dex Holland!!

[Blade's music plays. He makes his way into the ring and gets into it with Dex. While the two men stare down in the ring, Blade tries to take the immediate offense with a wild swing to the head.  Dex sees this coming, and ducks the blow.  He rolls to his corner, and seeks comfort from his girl: Ann Archy.  She hugs his head, squeezing him to her chest, comforting him.]

Jerry Lawler: Aah!  I think I need to acquire the services of Ann over there.

Jim Ross: Keep your head in the match, King.  You have a job to do!

Jerry Lawler: I’d rather my head be where Dex’s is right now.

[While Lawler sends his whistles to Dex’s manager, Blade bounces off the ropes with a baseball slide.  Both Ann Archy and Dex Holland fall to the mat, as Blade takes the advantage on the outside.  Shoving Archy aside, Blade picks Dex up for a piledriver.  Dex’s head crashes to the mat, only to get picked back up by Blade, and thrown into the ring.]

[A fan then throws a cup of beer at Blade, and he begins to chase toward the fan.  Before things get out of hand, the referee gets in his way, and orders him back to the ring.  By this time, though, Dex is on the top rope, and he launches off with a picture-perfect Asai moonsault.  Dex tosses Blade into the ring, and hops onto the ring apron.  He jumps onto the top rope, and twists his body into a dragon screwdriver.  Blade moves just out of the way, placing Dex into a Boston Crab.]

Jerry Lawler: Blade just can’t decide on his arsenal.  One second, he’s a hardcore hitter, and the next he’s a technical fighter.

Jim Ross: Well, Dex Holland lets it be known that he’s a rare breed of high fliers in this company.

Jerry Lawler: I guess this shows you how far high-fliers get in the Net World Order, Haha!

[Dex screams as he reaches for the ropes.  However, Blade placed himself perfectly so that he is facing the nearest ropes.  Just when it seems that Dex is about to give up, Ann Archy climbs the apron, slapping the ugly off of Blade’s face.  Blade falls back, and Dex Holland ascends the ropes, signaling for his signature move.  He crashes down to the ground, landing on Blade with a guillotine legdrop.]

Jim Ross: He calls that move the Dexterminator, King!  This match looks to be over!

[The referee counts the pinfall: 1…2… 3!!]

Jim Ross: What an impressive debut for this fresh, new superstar, King!

Jerry Lawler: Luck, JR.  He had no place being in the ring with Blade in the first place!

Howard Finkle: And your winner, Dex Holland!

Commercial Break

Jerry Lawler: So JR, where is that interview that you said you had with CEO Davis?

Jim Ross: It will be shown right after this next match. And might I add it will be very intresting for everyone to check out what he had to say to Eric Bishoff, Shane Douglas, and the other members of the SWF.

Jerry Lawler: Speaking of the next match, what is it?

Jim Ross: It's The Hardy Boyz against the New Age Outlaws.

Jerry Lawler: I can't wait for this match to start. The Outlaws are going to tear the Hardy Boyz apart, limb from limb, piece by piece.

The Hardy Boyz vs The New Age Outlaws

Howard Finkle: The following is a Tag Team Match and it is set for one fall.

[The Hardy Boyz' music plays. They fans cheer as the young brother duo make their way to the ring.]

Howard Finkle: Introducing first, from Cameron, North Carolina, Matt and Jeff, The Hardy Boyz!!

[As The New Age Outlaws' music begins to play, the fans erupt in boos. But once The Road Dogg's voice isn't heard and no one is coming out, the entire crowd is quiet.]

Jim Ross: Where are the New Age Outlaws?

Jerry Lawler: How should I know?

Jim Ross: Maybe they chicken out for the match.

Jerry Lawler: Yeah right, JR. I am sure they have something up their selves.

[The music stops playing.]

Jim Ross: Now I am starting to get worried. Where could Road Dogg and Billy Gunn be?

[From the crowd, The New Age Outlaws come out of with steel chairs in hand.]

Jim Ross: The Hardys better look out. The New Age Outlaws are coming froom behind them, and they have chairs with them.

[The Outlines both slide into the ring. The Road Dogg hits Matt Hardy in the back of his head with his chair. Jeff Hardy turns to face The Outlaws, but he is meant with a chair shot from Billy Gunn.]

Jim Ross: This is terrible! The New Age Outlaws have just destroyed Matt and Jeff Hardy with those chairs!

[Billy Gunn lifts Jeff Hardy to his feet. Gunn then sets up him for a Piledriver near a ring corner. The Road Dogg places on of the chairs near the feet of Billy Gunn. Road Dogg then climbs to the second turnbuckle of that nearby corner and the two of them nail a spike piledriver, with Jeff's head hitting right off of that steel chair.]

Jim Ross: OH MY GOD! They could of just broke Jeff Hardy's neck with that move.

[DX's music plays. The Road Dogg holds his arms over his head in the shape of a 'X' and Billy Gunn does a few crotch chops to the Hardys as the fans boo as loud as they had so far all night.]

Jim Ross: I can't believe this....

Jerry Lawler: Well, I do. Part of DX has just made a statement. If you aren't with them, then you can end up just like Jeff Hardy did with that spike piledriver onto a chair.

Commercial Break

Jim Ross: We are back. King, I still can't get over what The New Age Outlaws just did to Jeff Hardy.

Jerry Lawler: I will admit that was pretty bad, but that was a bold statement to everyone about the degenerates.

Jim Ross: For now, lets go to that interview between myself and CEO Davis.

Interview: CEO Davis

[The Scene opens inside of CEO Davis' office that has been setup inside of the First Union Center for tonights event. CEO Davis is sitting behind his desk, leaning back in his large leather recliner chair. Jim Ross is seating in a chair that is on the other said of the desk.]

Jim Ross: First of all, Mr. CEO, I'd like to thank you for taking some of your time for this interview.

CEO Davis: No prob., JR. I wanted to say a few things anyway.

Jim Ross: I know that with Eric Bishoff, Shane Douglas, and Gene Simmons starting the UWF in the NWO on Monday, you must have a lot on your mind.

CEO Davis: Yeah, I do. That is mostly what I wanted to talk about. Now let me get this right, Eric Bishoff thinks that he can walk right back into the NWO and take it over by making up a federation of his own. Eric, is there really something wrong with you? Sure, you do have Shane Douglas on your side, but who else is there? Gene Simmons? My good old buddy Bob Holly has kicked his ass more times that I can remember. Not taking anything away from Bob, but there are better people than him in the NWO right now that can easily take out Gene Simmons. What about Chris Jericho? Sure, he is great going for the TV Title, but when I give him a long over due shot at the Intercontinental Title, not only did he lose the match, but he lost it to freaking Ruthless for God's sake! I really doubt that Chris is as great as he was in the past. I doubt he can even win a title that is higher than the Television title.

Jim Ross: What do you think about another group that is saying that they are neither NWO nor UWF?

CEO Davis: Who's that? DX?

Jim Ross: Yes.

CEO Davis: I am trying to think. How many DX's have their been in the NWO?

Jim Ross: I don't know. Around.....

CEO Davis: Shut up, JR. That was a rhetorical question. It seems like there really has been like different "reformations" of Degeneration X within one year. And each time there is a reformation, the group gets weaker and weaker. Right now, I don't give a damn about them. Triple H can bicth all he wants about he should be getting a World Title match. The bottom line is that's not going to happen anytime soon. The reason that he has the non title match against Shane Douglas tonight is to just to make him shut the hell up for a while. Maybe Douglas will humble Hunter by beating him in the center of the ring. He can talk about that he is "The Game" and "That Damn Good" from now until the end of the world, the bottom line remains that if he wants to be World Champion once again, then he needs to go out there and earn it like everyone else. I don't give a damn that he is a three time World Champion. That is the past and it will remain just that, the past. What counts now is what he does in the present time.

Jim Ross: Will you give him that title shot if he does infact earn the title match.

CEO Davis: Probably, but I can change my mind at any moment. I don't "have" to give him a damn thing if I don't want to.

Jim Ross: Back to the UWF. Now Eric Bishoff owns half of the NWO. Do you think he really cane use the SWF to take over the NWO?

CEO Davis: Over my dead body he will. While he may think he is smart, he will screw up somewhere. Just look at the fine mess he ended up with over in WCW.

Jim Ross: So, is that all you have to say?

CEO Davis: Yeah, pretty much. Now get the hell out of here, I have some work to get done.

[Jim Ross gets up out of his seat as soon as the CEO says that. After a slight pause, he walks out of the room and the scene comes to the end.]

Jerry Lawler: He kind of bossed you around, didn't he, JR.

Jim Ross: I guess so, but the fact of the matter is that I did get some of the answers that many people have wanted to hear ever since Monday. Anyway, King, we have to get to the ring for our nex match of the night.

Steve Austin vs Kurt Angle

Howard Finkle: This match is set for one fall.

[Kurt Angle's music begins to play. He comes down to the ring with boos from the fans.]

Howard Finkle: Introducing first, from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Kurt Angle!!

[Steve Austin's music plays and he runs down to the ring and gets right into a fist fight in the middle of the right with Angle.]

Jim Ross: Steve Austin is wasting no time, going right after Kurt Angle.

[Angle tries to turn this more into a wrestling match by sending Austin into the ropes. As Austin comes off the ropes, he ducks a clothesline from Angle. Austin coomes off the ropes again and he jumps up and knocks Angle down with a press and he begins to punch away at Angle. Austin now gets off of Angle and lifts him back to his feet. Austin sends Angle into a ring corner. Steve Austin walks over towards that corner and he begins to kick Kurt Angle until Angle falls down.]

Jerry Lawler: As you would say, JR, Stone Cold is stomping a mudhole and walking it dry.

Jim Ross: Yeah, right onto that American Twerp!

Jerry Lawler: HEY! Kurt Angle is OUR Hero. You should show him the proper respect!

[Austin now brings Angle back up to his feet. Austin nails Angle with a vertical suplex that has Angle land in the center of the ring. Austin now once again brings Angle to his feet. This time Austin grabs Angle's head and goes for the Stone Cold Stunner, but Angle pushes Austin away into the turnbuckle pads. Austin hits off of them and comes backward to Angle. Kurt goes for the Olympic Slam, but Austin mule kicks Angle, turns around, and this time connects with The Stunner.]

Jim Ross: There it is, the Stone Cold Stunner. This match is going to be over just like this.

Jerry Lawler: No, this can't be!

[Austin makes the cover on Angle. The referee makes the count 1.....2.....3]

Howard Finkle: Here is your winner, Stone Cold Steve Austin!!

Jim Ross: And Steve Austin picks up this quick win over Kurt Angle. Now fans, we will be back right after this.....

Commercial Break

Jim Ross: Welcome back to Thursday Night Overdrive.

Jerry Lawler: So far it's been a great night, and it can only get better with the last two matches of this night, which are Maxx Payne taking on Impure Authority in a handicap match and Shane Douglas facing Triple H in a non title match in our main event.

Jim Ross: So far we've seen Dex Hollan win his debut match against Blade, The New Age Outlaws take out The Hardy Boyz with chairs, an special interview with CEO Davis, and before we went to break, Steve Austin beat Kurt Angle. Now we will be going back to the ring where US Champion Maxx payne takes on the Tag Team Champions Impure Authority in a handicap match. The rules for this match goes like this. If either member of Impure Authority beat Maxx Payne, then that person will face Max for the United States Championship some time next week.

Maxx Payne vs Impure Authority

["Sad But True" begins to play. Triple X and The Undertaker make their way down to the ring.]

Howard Finkle: The following non title handicap match is set for one fall. Introducing first, they are the NWO Tag Team Champions, Triple X and The Undertaker, Impure Authority!!

["Bad Blood" by The Ministry begins to play. From the back walks Maxx Payne.]

Howard Finkle: And their opponent, he is the NWO United States Champion, Maxx Payne!!

[All three men are now in the ring. To begin with, Triple X goes after Payne. Payne aviods his attack and takes him down and out of the ring with a standing dropkick. Just as Payne gets back to his feet, The Undertaker knocks him down with a big boot to his head.]

Jim Ross: It looked like Maxx payne could gain control of this match for a second, but two on one is just too much for anyone.

[The Undertaker goes for the cover. The referee counts 1.....2 Payne kicks out]

Jerry Lawler: The Undertaker hardly got a two count there. It's way to early to beat Maxx Payne in this match.

[Triple X rolls back into the ring as The Undertaker gets back up to his feet. When Payne is finally up, XXX and The undertaker both send Payne into the ropes. As payne comes back off of the ropes, they go for a double back elbow, but Payne beats them to a punch by hitting them with a double clothesline. XXX is knocked down, but The Undertaker remains on his feet. The Undertaker now goes for another big boot, but Payne aviods this one and connects with a low blow and he follows that up by setting The Undertaker up for The Payne Killer. However, Triple X gets back up and breaks that up. XXX goes to attack Payne, but Payne now gets Triple X set up for The Payne Killer, and he hits it.]

Jim Ross: There it is. The Payne Killer. I think this match is going to be over.

[Maxx Payne covers Triple X. The referee counts 1.....2... The Undertaker makes the save bu hitting an elbow drop on Payne. The Undertaker gets up and he brings Payne to his feet. Undertaker sets Payne up for The Tombstone Piledriver, but Payne frees himself and slides down The Undertaker's back, hitting a variation of The Payne Killer on his way down. Maxx now makes the cover onto The Undertaker. The referee counts 1.....2.....3]

Jim Ross: It's all over. Maxx Payne has pulled one out from somewhere and has won the match!

Jerry Lawler: The match was almost over like three times at the very end, but Maxx did pull of the win, and that's all that counts.

Jim Ross: Agreed. And right after this short time out, it will be time for the main event.

Commercial Break

Shane Douglas vs Triple H

Lilian Garcia: Now on to the MAIN EVENT! This match is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, he is from Grenich, Connecticut, accompanied by Chyna and the New Age Outlaws, he is Hunter Hearst Helmsley!

[An arena full of fans begin to boo as Degeneration-X’s music blares over the loudspeakers. Flashing lights glow along the building, as the newly reformed Degeneration-X makes their way before the fans. Hunter Hearst Helmsley stops at the top of the stage while the rest of Degeneration-X walks on without him. Hunter takes a sip of his water, and throws it aside. Finally making it down to the ring, he walks to one side, and spits the water into the fans simultaneous with a crotch chop.]

Lilian Garcia: And his opponent, representing Ass-Kickers, Incorporated and the Ultimate Wrestling Federation, he is the Net World Order World Champion. He is “The Franchise” Shane Douglas!

[Shane Douglas appears on the stage to the sounds of “Perfect Strangers” by Deep Purple. Shane begins walking down the stage, but notices the army of Degeneration-X members that surround the ring. He turns around, expecting someone to come out. Through the curtains, Gene Simmons, Chris Jericho, and Maxx Payne appear. Shane walks down the ramp more confident, and slides in the ring. Triple H and Shane Douglas start brawling away, exchanging blows to one another. Likewise, the outside explodes into a brawl.]

Jerry Lawler: I think we’ll need more referees out here!

[While Shane Irish whips Triple H to the ropes, Degeneration-X enters the ring while brawling with Shane Douglas’ group. Billy Gunn hits the Fame-ass-er on Gene Simmons while Chris Jericho bulldogs Road Dogg. Maxx Payne, meanwhile, helps Shane Douglas on his attack against Triple H. Having lost control with the match, the referee calls for the bell to be rung. The bell continues its hapless ringing while mayhem occurs in the ring. As Gene Simmons rises from the Fame-ass-er, Maxx Payne turns around to hit him back down.]

Jim Ross: Good Gawd, King! What the Hell did Maxx Payne do that for? Who’s side is he on, dammit?

[Maxx Payne begins to leave the carnage in the ring, with the United States strap over his shoulder. Suddenly, the lights flicker off, and a light shines on a crow in the distance. When the lights come back on, Sting is seen hitting his metal baseball bat over Maxx Payne’s head. Sting continues on to the ring, and begins swinging wildly. Shane Douglas narrowly escapes the ring without a hit, taking his World Title belt with him. Chris Jericho and Gene Simmons also escape on opposite sides of the ring, while Degeneration-X scurries their escape through the crowd.]

Jerry Lawler: JR, Sting is back, and is not making friends in the UWF fast! He’d better watch his back, because there’s no way that Douglas is going to let this one go!

Lilian Garcia: Ladies and gentlemen, due to the disorder in the ring, this match has been declared a DRAW!

Jim Ross: It looks like Shane Douglas vs. Triple H will have to happen another night, folks. We are dead out of time tonigh…
