Kurt Angle first opened the eyes of the world with his gold-medal performance at the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. The Pittsburgh native made his country proud, winning the 220-pound freestyle wrestling competition, and the extraordinarily proud Angle surely won't let anyone forget about it!
Angle takes himself very seriously, calling himself the only "real athlete" in the World Wrestling Federation. When the crowd is not behind him, Kurt wonders how anyone could boo an Olympic gold medallist.
The year 2000 -- Angle's rookie year in the Federation -- was arguably the best year for any Superstar in the Federation's history.
