Wrestling Titles: TNT Wrestling Hardcore Championship
Wrestling Record: 4-1-0
.:: The crowd at a sold out TNT Wrestling non-televised live event stirs as the last match comes to an end. Suddenly Slither by Velvet Revolver hits the speakers. Then the crowd begins to cheer as Billy Dee walks out from behind the curtain on to the top of the ramp. He stops for a moment and looks out at the thousands of fans. He is dressed in his regular ring attire, he has his new TNT Wrestling Hardcore Championship Title belt around his waist, and a bandage on his head from the battle he endured at November Chronicles. He has a grin on his face. He then proceeds to walk down the ramp toward the ring. He climbs up the steps, through the ropes and into the ring. He is handed a microphone from the ring announcer. He walks to the middle of the ring as the music stops. He puts the microphone to his mouth, still with a grin on his face, and begins to address the audience. ::.
When I pinned Sean O'Callaghan, it was easily the proudest moment of my professional wrestling career. When I was finally able to hold my arm in the air with the TNT Wrestling Hardcore Championship Title belt in my hand, I knew I had accomplished something special, and I truly have. Winning a title in TNT wrestling has been a dream of mine ever since I entered the wrestling industry. Ever since I wrestled in bingo halls, the local assembly halls, the bars, all the small run-down piles of crap I had to wrestle in just to get a look from someone in TNT Wrestling. I wrestled all that time just to get my one try-out match with TNT Wrestling, and that match went well. I wrestled with everything I had, and they hired me. Now I'm not just a new guy in TNT Wrestling, I am a champion. I'm not just a rookie in TNT Wrestling, I am an established wrestler. Wearing this title around my waist sends a message to the rest of the lockerroom that I am not someone to be taken lightly, and I'm not just the new kid on the block anymore who'll get knocked off soon enough. I have proof that I have what it takes to make it to the big time, and it is currently around my waist. I am the Billy Dee, the new TNT Wrestling Hardcore Chamion!
.:: The crowd begins to cheer once again as Billy Dee raises his arms over his head. Then he continues to speak. ::.
That match at Chronicles is probably the most violent and physical match I have ever competed in. Both Cory Beardwood and Sean O'Callaghan put up great fights, and they deserve to go on to great things. They proved that to me and to everyone on Sunday night. I am still hurting from that match, and as you can all see, I'm still showing the wounds from that war.
.:: Billy Dee points at the bandage on his forehead. ::.
That isn't he only injury I have. I have bruised ribs, one of them cracked, and a sprained wrist. But I guess that's what being the Hardcore Champion is all about. It's all about making the physical sacrifices to get to the top and to hold this prestigious title. It's about being the best, and that is what I am all about. While holding this title is a sweet feeling all on it's own, it was so nice to pin Sean O'Callaghan again. That man has a big mouth, and he needed to be dealt with. He said this title is worth nothing. He said this title is beneath him. I don't see how this title can be beneath him when he can't even beat its champion. O'Callaghan, it was a great victory beating you, and I will be more than happy to do it again if I need to.
.:: The crowd begins to cheer as Billy Dee pauses for a moment. Then he continues. ::.
I can't live off of that one night forever though. I need to move on with my life and with my career. That is why I need to look forward to Mayhem this Sunday night. I need to look forward to my tag match, where I will be tagging with the man that beat me for the TNT Wrestling Television Championship, Xander Kross. This is a man, while he made it clear he wanted to be more than the TV Champion when we wrestled, is a man I have respect for. He beat me cleanly right in the middle of the ring, there is no way for him to have not earned my respect. He is a very good talent, and has a great upside. I don't know how well we'll work together, but if we're on the same page, we should be able to get the victory.
.:: Billy Dee scratches his head for a moment, then continues. ::.
I don't mean any disrespect to our opponents, two men who I think are two of the toughest guys in TNT Wrestling. The Clean Up Brigade, these two guys, Cory Beardwood and Mike Graham are two tough individuals. Unfortunately for them this is not a Hardcore match. This is a standard tag team match. While I have respect for what they do in the Hardcore division, I don't believe they are as talented as Xander Kross and myself are. This should be a very interesting match, and I expect only the best for both myself and Xander Kross.
.:: Slither by Velvet Revolver hits the speakers once again. Billy Dee drops the microphone and climbs through the ropes, down the steps and out of the ring. He walks up the ramp toward the back. He walks through the curtain and backstage. He walks down the hallway taking his Hardcore Title off from around his waist. He walks through and door and into the lockerroom. He walks over to his bag with his clothes hanging on the hook above it. He goes into the side pocket of his bag. He takes out a cellular phone and looks at it. It reads, "1 missed call". He presses a few buttons, and listens to his messages. All he can hear is deep breathing on his message. Then it stops after about ten seconds, and he can hear a click as the phone on the other end hangs up. He gets a look of anger on his face as he slams the phone into his bag. He then goes into the main pocket, and he pulls out a picture. It takes a close look at it, and it's a picture of Billy Dee walking outside in front of a grocery store called Jean Coutu just down the street from where he lives. The look goes from anger to confusion. He puts the picture down on his bag and begins to look around the room. He looks around the corner to where the showers are, then rushes to where the toilets and sinks are. He sees and hears nothing. He walks back to the bag and picks up the picture once again. He continues to look at it with a worried look on his face as the scene fades to black. ::.
