.:: Billy Dee is seen backstage in the lockerroom
after Mayhem standing next to Cole Matthews preparing for his interview.
He is covered in sweat and is in his wrestling gear huffing and puffing
from his grueling match with Xander Kross. His hair is a mess as Cole
begins the interview. ::.
CM: Billy
Dee, this must be a very disappointing loss for you. You had a chance
to win the TV Title tonight, and while you came so close, Xander Kross was
able to pull it out in the end. What are your thoughts on the match
Billy?
BD: Well, it really is a very disappointing
loss Cole. I mean I had him locked in to the Dee-Stabilizer and was
about to finish the match when he was able to counter it. He must have
done his homework and he knew that was what I was going for. While
I hate to admit defeat, Kross was the better man on this night. That
doesn't mean he will always be the better man, and I don't expect him to
be the better man because I plan on getting another shot at the TV Title
and proving that I am worthy of holding that piece of gold.
CM: There was a point in the match where Xander took control where
you could have...
BD: You know what? I don't
want to focus on that match any longer. As soon as I got backstage
they told me about my match next week at the Pay Per View, November Chronicles.
So if you want to ask me any questions, you can ask me about that.
CM: Okay then. You have a
match triple threat match next week for the Hardcore Championship against
Sean O'Callaghan and the champion Cory Beardwood.
BD: I'll be the first person to admit that harcore matches aren't exactly
up my ally. I'll be the first to admit that I don't even really like
hardcore matches. However, that isn't going to stop me from winning
that Hardcore Championship from Cory Beardwood. I've heard about this
guy, and I've heard about him getting beat-up and suffering from numerous
injuries. He sounds like he can take quite a beating, and considering
he still holds that title must be able to dish one out too. But while
he might be tough, I believe that I am still more skilled than him in the
ring, and that will lead to my ultimate victory on Sunday night. I
am the number one contender for the Hardcore Championship, and I am going
to be prove why I should not only be the number one contender, but why I
should be the champion.
CM: You are wrestling against Cory
Beardwood, but don't forget about Sean O'Callaghan, and man you have met
in the ring once before.
BD: That's right. I was supposed to meet him for the TV Title
initially, but I guess things were changed at the last moment. You
are right though, I have wrestled him before, and we had a very competitive
match. It was great to wrestle Sean, and I look forward to it again.
I know in my heart that I can beat Sean as I have proven in the past,
but I know it's no easy task. I plan on being at my best because I
know that with gold on the line Sean will be. If I'm not on my best,
it is a guarantee that he will beat me, and Cory probably will too for that
matter. I can't wait for this match, and I can't wait to get my first
taste of TNT Wrestling gold.
CM: Now you need to keep in mind
that you don't even have to be pinned to win this match. Is this a
concern for you Billy?
BD: Of course it is Cole. I would be a fool for it not to worry
me. I feel that I have the skill to compete against two other men in
a triple threat match. I just need to keep my head on a swivel and
know what's going on at all times. I can't take a moment to rest or
to think, I need to go with my instincts. More often than not my instincts
are right.
CM: Any final thoughts about tonight
and next week?
BD: While tonight was disappointing, maybe it happened this way for
a reason. Maybe I was meant to lose tonight so I could win the Hardcore
Championship Cole. I believe that everything happens for a reason,
and I believe that tonight while I came close, I didn't pull it off. Maybe
it was because of a lack of experience and I wasn't meant to move up in TNT
quite this fast. But I do believe that I have what it takes to some
day be on top, and I will be there Cole, you can quote me on that one. As
for next week, it will be a huge match for me, and I can't wait to get some
serious gold around my waist.
CM: Thank you for your time as
always Billy.
BD: You're welcome.
.:: Cole turns and exits
the room. Dee turns around and goes into his bag and for a moment.
Then a phone rings. He looks in the side pocket and pulls it
out his bag. He answers the phone. ::.
BD:
Hello?
.:: ... ::.
BD:
Hello?
.:: ... Dee looks at his phone and hangs it up with a look of
anger and confusion on his face. Then the phone rings once again. ::.
BD: Hello?
Lady: Hey Billy.
BD: Hey sweetheart.
Sweetheart: I saw the match, I'm sorry it didn't go so well. I'm
sure you'll get another chance though.
BD: I know I will too. How
are you?
Sweetheart: I'm doing pretty well. Someone just called for you
though. They didn't leave a name. Were you expecting a call?
BD: No I wasn't. Someone
just called me and then hung up. It's been happening a lot lately.
It's really annoying. I wish I invested in caller ID.
Sweatheart: That happened to me at home last week too. I hate
it when that happens.
BD: Ya I know. Oh well, what
are you gonna do eh? Anyway, I've gotta get changed and shower, but
I'll be on my way home soon.
Sweetheart: I can't wait to see you.
BD: I can't wait to see you too.
Sweetheart: Bye, love you.
BD: Love you too. Bye.
.:: Billy Dee hangs up the
phone and puts it back in his bag. He pulls out a plastic grocery bag
with soap and shampoo in it. He then pulls out a towel from his bag.
The scene fades has he gets ready to have his shower. ::.
