Raw Backstage Notes:

The "fan" that got Stacy's autograph and was later attacked by Test on RAW tonight was actually independent wrestler Preston Quinn.

- As reported last week, the Rock segment that aired last night on RAW was taped last week at RAW. Goldberg was initially part of the segment. He actually challenged the Rock to the match. WWE removed his part and opted to air Goldberg segments with Goldust and Christian instead. WWE RAW head writer Brian Gerwertz and Vince McMahon thought the Goldberg/Goldust segment would be very funny. Removing Goldberg from the Rock segment caused it to come off oddly, since the Rock quickly went from not accepting the match with Goldberg to accepting without any real reason. The decision to put Goldberg in a segment with Goldust also made him come off as somewhat of a goof.

- Many backstage thought it was "politically curious" that Goldberg did not have any music play when he ran down to attack Christian. Some went as far as to think that Goldberg came out to no music to weaken his pop in an effort to keep him from getting over.

- Many backstage were confused as to why WWE announced the Nash/HBK/Booker T vs. Triple H/Jericho/Flair Backlash match at the start of the show, and then start a major angle about whether Nash will side with Triple H or Michaels. Many thought that announcing the match before the angle started ruined it.

- Many backstage also noticed that during the Eric Bischoff segment where he promoted Steve Austin merchandise, a graphic aired with the price before Bischoff even mentioned the price. Many thought it was odd for WWE to make two major production errors on the same show.
