As former professional football player, Heidenreich hopes that his
gridiron greatness will translate into wrestling success much like The
Rock, JBL, and Ron Simmons (Faarooq). Heidenreich played on the offensive
line for the Washington Redskins, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons.
NFL officials often saw his toughness and exuberance as unnecessary
roughness — resulting in frequent game ejections.
Heidenreich is also an accomplished martial artist. He began training at
age six and earned his first-degree black belt at the tender age of 12.
Heidenreich has made an immediate impact on WWE by combining his raw
athletic power and martial arts expertise. Now, with Paul Heyman advising
him, who know how far he might go … or what he might be willing to do to
get there.
Still, his most incredulous moment came during the Last Ride Match between
JBL and Undertaker at No Mercy in October of 2004. Heidenreich helped JBL
retain the WWE Championship by attacking Taker, who was then stuffed into
the back of a hearse. Then, under orders from manager Paul Heyman, he
drove a pick-up truck into the hearse backstage for good measure.
