A Serious Question For All Promoters!
|
Hello wrestling fans! We're glad you could spend some time with us. Let me explain why we have this website. You see, there are many independent workers in wrestling today, and they get very little, if any, recognition. That is sad because the independent worker, whether that be wrestler, manager, valet, referee, or promoter, work just as hard or harder than the workers in the WWE, and for very little pay. They do what they do for us, the fans, & they do it darn well too. So this is our little tribute to the independent worker. God bless you all, and our sincere hope is that you get where you want to go, whether that be the WWE, TNA, or even if you're just doing it for fun. Now let me tell you a little about myself. I have been a wrestling fan since around 1967. I still remember stars such as Edouard Carpentier, Flying Fred Curry, The Mighty Igor, Pampero Firpo, The Sheik, and Abdullah the Butcher, to name just a few. My love continued on into the 80s with Barry Windham, The Rockers, The Fantastics, The Midnight Express, and many more. Nowadays I love Gregory Helms, Shawn Michaels, Kip James, America's Most Wanted, Kurt Angle, Monty Brown, and, well, the list is just too long to name them all. I'd probably need a whole website just for that! We started this newsletter as a paper version in which we showcased independant workers, as well as had news and other things. Since moving to the web, we've stuck mainly with interviews, but do throw some news, match results, and more in. The interviews are our main focus, however. We love to bring you, the fan, information on some very good workers, and we believe they are every bit as much superstars as those in the WWE or TNA. We have made many good friends along the way in our quest to find wrestlers, managers, valets, referees, and promoters. Just a few words on the personal side: I have been married to my partner-in-crime Patch for four years now. We have one "child," our year-old tortoiseshell calico, Joy. I have many interests, such as creating letters in Incredimail, reading, watching plenty of wrestling & more. I own several Yahoo groups as well, listed below. We would like to thank every one who has so graciously done interviews for us. We would also like to thank our former webmasters, Marc Ash and Joe Rules, and webmistress, Kristen "Siren Demented" Dowd. We also appreciate our NEW webmaster Ron Thompson (also webmaster or Wrestling Wear Galore) for you taking on the job of webmaster for us, and the great job you are doing so far and all the improvements you will be making. Enjoy the site, and please, stop by and sign the guestbook before you leave. Thanks Brietta |
Well, I guess it's my turn. Hello, I'm Patch, Brietta's "partner-in-crime" & in life. I became a pro wrestling fan at the tender age of six when I saw Jimmy Valiant wrestle for the first time. Little did I know that years later I'd go on to work many shows with "Boogie." I had a nine year stint in the business of pro wrestling having worked as ring announcer for various promotions in North Carolina, my home state. During that time, met a lot of great people, made a lot of friends. My favorite wrestlers include Jimmy Valiant, of course, my current mentor, The Nighthawk, Mil Mascaras, Mr. Wrestling I and II, Stro, Lady Amazon, former professional wrestler D-Nice, a close friend of mine, Wild Shane West, Garry Stephens, Scar Stevens and Destiny, Siren Demented, and too many more to mention here. Special thanks have to go to my buddy, Mean Marc Ash, our former webmaster, also to Joe Rules, who up until recently, was our webmaster. Both these gentlemen did a great job with the site. And to our former webmistress Kristen "Siren Demented" Dowd, And Thank you to our current current webmaster Ron Thompson very much for taking the site over. And as my wife said, please stop by and sign the guestbook before you leave. Thanks, and God bless you all! Patch |
