Tour dates announced!

• 5/21 and 5/22 -- Radio City Music Hall. Tickets go on sale 4/22 and will be available only through Ticketmaster online and telecharge. More info is at the Radio City Music Hall site
• Summer tour, from 6/22 in Antioch, TN to 7/15 at Columbus, OH. Mail order tickets must be mailed 3/20-22. All pertinent info is at the Phish tour page

Album News

• The new album, entitled "Farmhouse", will be out 5/16

  • Hampton Comes Alive: This is a 6 CD collection of the entire concert from November 20 and 21, 1998 at the Hampton Colisseum in Virginia. There are 44 total tracks on the album, including many never released concert favorites and many (11) covers. It's release date is scheduled for November 23d and is priced at $69.99. Full details are available at the Phish website. As a result of this release, all electronic forms of the show are to be removed from the internet and trading etiquette calls for the show not to be exchanged anymore as well, as stated in the Phish taping policy.
  • Get You a Healing: In the Spring Shvice "Page and Mike just returned from New Orleans, where they recorded a track with George Porter, Art Neville and Russell Batiste from the Meters entitled "Pain in my Heart." The track will be included on the upcoming CD Get You a Healin' that includes performances by many of New Orleans' finest musicians. All net proceeds from the CD will go to benefit the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic - a free health care facility for musicians who lack health insurance that Page's father was instrumental in organizing."
  • The Siket Disc: (again from the Schvice "Page...has been editing and arranging material from the same improvisational sessions that spawned instrumental beds for songs on Ghost, including "Birds" and "Frankie Says." We hope to release the results of his efforts in the near future on a CD tentatively entitled The Siket Disc, in honor of the esteemed engineer of the same name."   • Under the Sound Umbrella by the Dude of Life: This album features several tracks recorded with the members of Phish
  • New Amfibian album: Amfibian (Tom Marshall's band) is expected to release a new album within the next year.

Miscellaneous Info

• 2 Phish-y films will be shown at the Austin Film Festival: Outside Out, by Mike Gordon, and Bittersweet Motel, a documentary on Phish from 1997
• Phish has donated the famed hotdog (on which they rode to the stage during this past NYE and in 1994 as well) to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It will be perched in the atrium. Read the article at Sonicnet.
• Page and Sofi are now the proud parents of Delia Edna, born 11/12, weighing 6lbs
• NYE 1995 was listed as one of the ten best concerts of the 1990's in a Rolling Stone article recently. "'We listened to this show last night,' Phish singer-guitarist Trey Anastasio says, gesturing across a table in a New York hotel lounge at keyboard player Page McConnell. 'The idea that we were playing this stuff at Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve . . .'" Check it out now.
• There is a revised taping policy for the band. For now on, one can't trade any tapes that are used as official releases from the band. For more info check out the policy on the Phish web site.
