Biography
Jonathan Taylor Thomas was born on September 8, 1981 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. When he was four years old, his family moved to Sacramento, California. At age five Jonathan persuaded his mother to enroll him in a 13 week modeling class after seeing a commercial on television. He appeared in TV commercials for Kellogg's cereal, Mattel toys and for many other products, and was in the play "Scrooge". He received the part of Greg's son Kevin in the short lived TV series "The Brady's", but his rise to stardom began when he got the part of "Randy" on the then new ABC television series, "Home Improvement". He has also starred in several movies (see filmography).
Jonathan's audition on Home Improvement went well, but what really gave him an edge over the other boys was that the casting directors thought that he looked a lot like his TV dad-to-be, Tim Allen.
In 1991, Jonathan's parents were divorced, and he has been living with his mother and his brother ever since.
Jonathan has been a vegetarian since he was four years old, and he doesn't use products that are tested on animals because he believes that it is wrong to hurt them. He likes to play sports, and loves fly fishing.
Jonathan gets his stage name from Jonathan (his real first name) Taylor (his real middle name) and Thomas (his brother's middle name)
