Alexi was born in the Detroit suburb of Birmingham,
Michigan. As a youngster, he was not only completely
taken by sports, but also by music. At the same time that
he was running on the soccer field and skating on the
hockey rink, Alexi was sitting at the piano and strumming
the guitar. He and his brother, Greg, would play sports
and play music together … something that is unchanged
to this day.
At Cranbrook High School, Alexi was twice named
All-State and in 1987 was named Michigan State Player
of the Year. That same year, Alexi captained both the
soccer team and hockey team to state championships.
Alexi's soccer passion and ability was what took him to
Rutgers University in the fall of 1998.
Member of the 1994 and 1998 United States World Cup Teams. Alexi played
every minute for the USA at the 1994 World Cup held in the USA.

season with Padua, Alexi scored three goals, including game winners against
powerhouses AC Milan and Inter Milan.
Played in two Olympic Games, the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona and the 1996
