"To the workers of Morales Hermanos Impresores S.A., this strike that has lasted three years and eight months has meant living without a salary as well as having to keep watch over the camps -at their headquarters and at their other branches. 365 day iofvthe year under very unpleasant weather conditions. It has also meant not giving in to the boss´provocations, threatts and intimidations, not appealling for economic help from other unions, nor from the nation as a whole. How has this been posible? By rallyn support on the streets, in lorries, in the metro, or marches and by seeking ecconomic resources wherever possible including washing cars, windscreens at traffic lights and working as street vendors.
Our priority has been to survive and to persevere, despite illnesses, to endure the emotional and physical stress and to make light of the bitterness that has arisen between us and our families during the time the legal process against the authorities has taken.
It has been a sacrifice to keep up the fight in defence of our rights against an insensitive boss, who, without warning, left us on the streets, without paying our due for 8 weeks work, without benefits and without work, regardless of the fact that many of us had worked for 10, 29 and up to 30 years in the company.
Throughout, we have had to struggle to recover our condition as human beings with rights and self respect; in order to recuperate our self esteem, the participation of our compañeras in this process is also very important. Whether mothers, single mothers, widows or abandoned wives,,they have fought with us, shown solidarity and resistance.
On the lagal side, the office of the Frente Autentico del Trabajo (FAT), has guided us on our union rights and on how to confront the power of our former boss."

"Tres años y ocho meses en huelga ha significado para l@s trabajador@s de Morales Impresores, S.A., vivir sin salario, hacer guardias en los campamentos -matriz y sucursal- los 365 días del año bajo climas nada agradables como el frió y la lluvia. No caer en las provocaciones o dejarnos vencer ante las intimidaciones o dejarnos vencer ante las provocaciones del patrón, solicitar la ayuda económica de sindicatos solidarios y del pueblo en general, ¿cómo? Boteando en la calle, en los camiones, en el metro, en las marchas y en donde se puedan obtener recursos e incluso como "chicharos" y "lavacoches". Sobrevivir y continuar, pese a la enfermedad de algun@s compañer@s , soportar el desgaste físico y emocional, limar las asperezas que se han presentado entre nosotr@s y nuestras familias por el tiempo que ha llevado el proceso legal ante las autoridades.
Ha significado un sacrificio para mantenernos en pie de lucha para defender nuestros derechos laborales ante un patrón insensible que de un momento a otro, nos dejó en la calle, sin salario de ocho semanas, sin prestaciones y sin trabajo. Desconociendo así, los más de 10, 20 y hasta 30 años de antigüedad al servicio de su empresa.
Ha sido también un ejercicio continuo de reflexión para reivindicar nuestra calidad de seres humanos con derechos y auto respeto a nosotr@s mism@s en la recuperación de nuestra autoestima es muy importante la participación de nuestras compañeras que, pese a su condición de madres, madres solteras, viudas o abandonadas, demuestran ser muy combativas, resistentes y solidarias.
En la parte legal, la asesoría del Frente Autentico del Trabajo, FAT, nos ha orientado para conocer nuestros derechos sindicales y hacer frente al poder de quien fue nuestro patrón."
