Setlist:
Dave sings and plays small parts of these songs:
Carry On My Wayard Son (Kansas) / Wannabe (Spice Girls) / Bullet With
Butterfly Wings (Smashing Pumpkins) / Big Me (Foo Fighters)
COMMENTS: Acoustic and extremely weird. Very Nice recording for fillers
04/02/97 Tokyo, Japan - EMI Studio
Format: Soundboard
Time: 10 minutes
Setlist:
For All The Cows / Big Me / Up In Arms
COMMENTS: Acoustic. All songs are cut. Up In Arms is interrupted by some
weird FF competition thing.
04/31/97 Maiden Vail Studios, London, UK, BBC Session
Format: Soundboard : Radio A+
Time: 20 minutes
Setlist:
Drive Me Wild / Requiem / Friend Of A Friend / Baker Street
05/09/97 TFI Friday, London, UK

05/09/97 Nulle Part Ailleurs, Cannes, France
Format: Professional Video
Time: 5 minutes
Setlist:
Monkey Wrench
COMMENTS: Live broadcast. Later that same night they played a secret
private party show for the release of the movie "The Blackout".
So it looks like they played three "shows" in one day. And TFI is the
first known performance of Monkey Wrench.
05/13/97 MTV Studio, London, UK
Format: Professional Video
Time: 5 minutes
Setlist:

COMMENTS: Bad sound.
05/16/97 Letterman show, Ed Sullivan theatre, NY

COMMENTS: Recorded on 5/15/97. Bad mixing but still cool. Similar to
5/13/97. Yet another Monkey Wrench TV appearance

Format: DAT (unsurfaced)
             Analog Cassette
Analog Cassette (incomplete & less quality)

Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed / Hey Johnny Park / Monkey Wrench / Alone+Easy
Target / My Poor Brain / Doll / See You / Enough Space / For All The
Cows / Big Me / New Way Home / This Is A Call
COMMENTS: Many tapers at this free show. All surfaced copies have B quality.
Someone saw two DAT tapers but those tapes haven't surfaced.
Most versions have cuts and sound problems.
The Worse Analog Cassette is distorted, probably a C+ and TIAC is cut. I don't
recommend it. Get it from someone else.

Format: Analog Cassette
Time: 70 minutes
Setlist:

Format: Analog Cassette
Time: 75 minutes
Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed / Hey Johnny Park / Monkey Wrench / Alone+Easy Target /

Impromptu one-off song / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong /
New Way Home / This Is A Call / Up In Arms / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: The song after Big Me is sort of a jam with Dave speaking the
lyrics. Circa 5 minutes long. Dave speaks about T In The Park and Michael
Jackson. This hasn't circulated much.

very high), Everlong and New Way Home.

06/07/97 Later with Jools Holland, BBC Studios, London, UK
Format: Professional Video
Time: 15 minutes
Setlist:
Monkey Wrench / Interview / Everlong
COMMENTS: Date is broadcast date. That's because they played in France

06/07/97 Tibetan Freedom Festival, Downing Stadium, Randall's Island, NY
Format: Soundboard (~kinda stinks)

Time: 35 minutes
Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed / Monkey Wrench / Alone+Easy Target /
Everlong / Doll / This Is A Call / I'll Stick Around / New Way Home
Notes: (for Audience Recording) Somewhat bassy sound; sounds like MTV
09/04/97. Sonicnet broadcasted this in RealVideo but no full video
Pro shot has been found other than that one. Wind Up doesn't have any
vocals for some reason.

	Private Video (incomplete)
Time: 75 minutes
Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed/ Hey, Johnny Park! / Monkey Wrench / Alone + Easy
Target / Doll / See You / My Poor Brain / For All The Cows / Enough Space /
Big Me / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong / New Way Home / This Is
A Call / Up In Arms / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: (for Analog Recording) Awful recording. I strongly don't recommend
this show, or at least this copy of this show. I got it from the guy who
taped it, and it's on a high biased tape and all, and i can barely even
hear the show. No drums heard, barely any guitar sound, vocals all
distorted. Unless you find someone else who taped it with a nice quality
recorder, don't get this copy. The Video (complete) is good except there is
no zoom in's or any movement. Get's kinda of dull.
07/04/97 Riviera Theatre, Chicago, IL

COMMENTS: Big Me has mentos lyrics (Dave Hates Mentos being thrown at him)
07/05/97 Summerfest, Milwaukee, WI

		DAT
Time: 70 minutes

Doll / See You / My Poor Brain / For All The Cows / Enough Space / Big Me /
Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong / New Way Home / This Is A Call /
Carry On My Wayward Son / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: Carry On My Wayward Son is sung by a guy in the audience called
Tom. TIAC is cut on bad recording. New good DAT upgrade.
07/07/97 Warehouse, Toronto
Format: Soundboard
        	DAT
        	Analog Cassette
        	Private Video
Professional Video (incomplete & mostly unsurfaced)
Time: 70 minutes
Setlist:
Doll / Wattershed / Enough Space / Hey Johnny Park! / Monkey Wrench /
Alone+Easy Target / See You / My Poor Brain / Up In Arms /
For All The Cows / Big Me / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong /
New Way Home / This Is A Call / Butterflies / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: Hey Johnny Park is missing from the video as well as the intro
for See You. Even more cut copies exist. The RB is really good
(similar to 5/25/97). Instead of bleeping the "bad words" in Weenie Beenie
they play those parts backwards which sounds very weird. Most copies of the
of the RB also features Floaty (after Enough Space) and Gas Chamber (after
Up In Arms) from 12/17/95 which makes it a little longer. The audience
recordings and the video are nice too. Clips from Wattershed were shown on Muchmusic
pro video. Probably incomplete though.
07/08/97 Muchmusic Studios, Toronto, Canada
Format: Professional Video
Time: 90 minutes
Setlist:
Monkey Wrench / Alone+Easy Target / Hey Johnny Park / Everlong /
Wind Up / Wattershed / Enough Space / This Is A Call / February Stars /
New Way Home / Big Me
COMMENTS: I'll Stick Around was also played for the audience. There are
also interviews with the band and they answer questions from the audience
and from people outside. But the interviews are pretty bad because the
audience screams too much. In Big Me Dave uses one of the MuchMusic
microphones and runs up in the audience. He picks up a guy and runs around
with him over his shoulder. Then he stole a bottle of water from another
guy. Music is good. A clip of the band soundchecking Hey Johnny Park has
also been broadcasted together with a short 7/7/97 clip of Wattershed.
07/10/97 Electric Factory, Philadelphia
Format: Analog Cassette (Good)
        	Private Video

Target / Doll / See You / My Poor Brain / For All The Cows / Enough Space /
Big Me / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong / New Way Home / This Is
A Call / Up In Arms / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: The Video is really good quality!
07/12/97 Garage at Caddy's complex, Cincinatti
Format: DAT
        	Analog Cassette
        	Analog Cassette (distorted)
Time: 75 minutes
Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed / Hey, Johnny Park! /Monkey Wrench / Alone
+ Easy Target / Doll / See You /My Poor Brain / For All The Cows / Enough
Space / Big Me / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong /
New Way Home / This is A Call/ Up In Arms / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: The radio broadcast of this show was a fake. It's actually 5/25/97
with audience sound and between song talking added from 7/12/97.
The dat audience recording is one of the clearest I've ever heard. It sounds
like one of the spring 95 shows.
07/13/97 American Theatre, St Louis, MO
Format: Analog Cassette (CRAP!)
        	DAT
Time: 75 minutes
Setlist:

see you / my poor brain / for all the cows / wattershed / big me / up in
arms / february stars / weenie beenie / butterflies / new way
home / this is a call / enough space / i'll stick around
COMMENTS: (For D/C-) Horrible recording. Dave Voice is low (distorted) and
low. Guitars sound like crap... Way Worse recording than 07-03-97!!
(5x Worse) (NickNamed:talk to The Fans) becuase you can hear everybody's
conversation that is around the recorder over the music.
Some girl keeps yelling "I Love You Dave" through out the whole show.
Some songs on SIDE B are partly cut.
Get the upgrade recording instead.
07/14/97 Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa, Oklahoma

Big Me / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: Very hot in the venue. Big Me is retitled to "I'm Gonna Fuckin'
Puke". Dave sings "But it's you I puked onto". Recording is good.

COMMENTS: Some conversation around the recorder.
Common festival recording.
08/19/97 Arena, Vienna, Austria OR 8/14/97 Music Hall, Cologne, Germany
Format: Professional Video
Time: 25 minutes
Setlist:
Wind Up / Wattershed / Enough Space / Up In Arms / February Stars /
Everlong / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: This was a broadcast on MTV Germany. That broadcast didn't say
where or when it was taped. But these are the most possible date because...
...Dave doesn't have a moustache and short hair, which proves that it is
from that european tour
...Pat is still in the band
...it's indoors and probably in a german speaking country
These were the only indoor shows from that tour so that's why it has to be
one of these dates. Newer versions of the FAQ have added the 8/14/97 date
which could be the actual date. Austria shows MTV Germany.
Most copies are generated esp NTSC copies!
08/22/97 Lowlands festival, Biddingshuizen, Holland
Format: Analog Cassette
	RB A+ (incomplete 15 minutes)
Time: 50 minutes
Setlist AUD:
Hey Johnny Park / Monkey Wrench / Alone + Easy Target /
Doll / See You / For All The Cows / Enough Space / Up In Arms /
Weenie Beenie / Everlong / New Way Home / This Is A Call /
I'll Stick Around
Setlist RB:
For All The Cows / Enough Space / This is a call / I'll Stick Around
COMMENTS: AUD is missing Wind Up and Wattershed in the beginning. Bassy.
Some small cuts in New Way Home. I've listened to the AUD a few times
and I believe that it is from the live cybercast from the lowlands
website. That would explain the two missing songs, the cuts and the
weird sound. The taper has to be found to prove it.
08/23/97 Pukkelpop Festival, Hasselt, Belgium
Format: Private Video (shakey)
		Radio Broadcast (incomplete 10 mins)
 		Analog Cassette (incomplete 20 mins)
Time: 46 minutes
Setlist complete:
Enough space / wattershed / hey, JP / Monkey wrench / Alone+Easy /
Doll / See you / For All the Cows / Weenie Beenie / Everlong / New Way Home
/ I'll Stick around
Setlist RB:
Interview / Monkey Wrench
Setlist AUD C-:
Enough space / wattershed / hey, JP / Monkey wrench /
Alone+Easy Target (cut)
COMMENTS: Speed problems on AUD . Dave comes up on stage and his guitar
isn't working, so he talks to the crowd about pukkelpop 95 and that the
exact same thing happened then also. Then enough space starts. Video is a
little shaky but it's steady for a festival video. Good sound,
taped from the left side. A few obstructions (heads) during the first songs,
but you can still see everything. From the middle of the setlist there
aren't any obstructions anymore, and you get a very good view of the stage.
Although a bit far away, but still a great video.
08/29/97 Seattle, Seattle Center, Bumbershoot Festival
Format: Private Video (SHAKY)
        	Analog Cassette (COMPLETE ENCORE)
Time: 43 minutes

This Is A Call / Wattershed / Hey! Johnny Park / Monkey Wrench / Alone
+ Easy Target / Doll / See You / My Poor Brain / For All The Cows /
Enough Space / Up In Arms / Weenie Beenie / February Stars / Everlong
COMMENTS: Video doesn't have last three tracks. (New Way Home) /
Purple Rain / Communication Breakdown). Krist Novoselic plays bass
on Purple Rain which features Pat on vocals. Barret Jones sings the
last track. Incomplete audience recording could exist, starting with
"For All The Cows". The intro of How I Miss You is played after
Weenie Beenie. The videotaper ran out of batteries and tried to tape
the last two songs but only managed to film the intros. Too bad.
The Audio has the complete encore but the quality sucks and people talk around
the recorder.
09/04/97 Outside Radio City Music Hall, MTV VMA pre-show, New York, NY

COMMENTS: GREAT recording to go along with an EXCELLENT show!!!!! Dave
somewhat changes lyrics during "Doll." Too bad the crowd doesn't get
into it more, even though Dave tries to "spice" up audience.

COMMENTS: Very Cool but very cut. Dave is drunk and tells a bunch of jokes
and talks alot. A cool show! Other songs played included Monkey Wrench,
Big Me, A+E T, My Hero, TIAC, Enough Space and possibly also UIA, HJP and
My Poor Brain.
09/27/97 Carolina Music Festival, Charlotte, NC
Format: Micro Cassette?? Analog Cassette?

Alone+Easy Target / Doll / See You / My Poor Brain / Enough Space /
For All The Cows / The Colour and the Shape / Up In Arms /
Weenie Beenie / Everlong (not on recording)
COMMENTS: Everlong is completely cut. Up In Arms and Weenie Beenie
are almost impossible to hear and they have small cuts.
Show ended early because of technical problems, rain and
people in the audience who were being injured.
The barricade breaks during Monkey Wrench and the song is stopped.
Then dave signs a Third Eye Blind song. Sound only comes out
of the left sSpeaker. Lots of static. A lot of people talk around the
recorder too which is kinda off annoying, but
it's still cool becuase of all the weird stuff that happens.

COMMENTS: Sort of a secret show..the people in the crowd are really drunk

changed to like "JOSH JOSH" for some guy in the audience.

Monkey Wrench / See You / My Poor Brain / Enough Space /

Notes: Prodigy opener. Good sound, almost better than the sound
at the show itself. A little dull playing, the crowd doesn't get
into it very much. Some talking during the songs. Dave says that
See You sounds like The Smiths. Weenie Beenie is dedicated to the
Prodigy. New Way Home is introduced as "New Wave Home".
Features a little "The Money Will Roll Right In" jam after Enough Space.

12/02/97 Propaganda, Milan, Italy
Format: Analog Cassette (seems semi-pro)
Time: 70 minutes
Setlist:
Intro / Monkey Wrench / Hey Johnny Park / Alone + easy target /
Doll / See you / My poor brain / Enough space / Big me /
The colour & The shape / For all the cows / Gas Chamber /
This Is A Call / Up in arms / Weenie Beenie / Everlong /
New way home / Watershed / Requiem / I'll stick around (cut)
COMMENTS: Pretty cool show, sounds like 11/6/95 or 4/3/96. Gas Chamber
features a long break before the second verse. This Is A Call goes into a
jam of the Black Sabbath classic "Paranoid" with Dave singing the wrong
verse as result. During Up In Arms he tries to speak Italian. The audience
is very fond of singing along. They are an echo on New Way Home.
I'll Stick Around is cut at the beginning of the first verse.
