- GUTTERSNIPES-*Chaos as Usual*-Just a good old rock and roll blues band. They have a small hint of 70s punk in them too. Kind of like early TOM PETTY meets the NEW YORK DOLLS. These guys are what can be described as a classic bar band and do what they do well. [No contact information]-Chris Lee

- GLADSHOT-self titled-Radio friendly hook filled modern/college rock. I really didn;t get into this at all but that's not to say it isn't good. The sound quality is excellent and GLADSHOT sound as professional as any college rock band I have heard. Check them out at www.gladshot.com-Chris Lee

- GREAT KAT, THE-*Rossini's Rape*-First off, I will say THE GREAT KAT can play the hell out of the guitar. She can burn up and down the fretboard as fast as anyone I have heard. And then doubling the runs on violin alot really showcases her incredible musical ability. This four-song CD consists of classical influenced hyberspeed metal that musically I was incredible. Standing out was THE GREAT KAT's magnificent version of Rossini's 'William Tell Overture'. THE GREAT KAT's vocals on the other hand, which were on two of the four tracks, were like nails on a chalkboard. Mindless screeching that sounded as if someone had stepped on the tail of cat. Although, the more I listen to the CD, the more I get used to it and realize that they do fit well with the cyberspeed music. All said, the CD is definitely worth checking out just to hear THE GREAT KAT showcase her guitar and violin talents. - HAPPY THE WICKED-*Incense*-HAPPY THE WICKED can be described as a cross between BLACK SABBATH and SEPULTURA. Add a hint of PANTERA and maybe MESHUGGAH and you get the low end grooves of HAPPY THE WICKED. *Incense* contains ten killer studio tracks plus a live album and is a good representation as a debut. Contact the band at P.O. Box 75, Crittenden, KY 41030 USA or via email at htwicked@yahoo.com.-Chris Lee

- HOLY CRAP-*Rock and Roll for President*-Straight ahead pop rock and roll. This trio mixes the sounds of 60s era brit rock (THE WHO, THE KINKS), 70s rock (CHEAP TRICK), and 80s college alternative (THE REPLACEMENTS, HUSKER DU) and come out with a well recorded 6-song CD that fans of the above will love. Your flavor is pop rock and roll with vocal harmmonies? You should be contacting HOLY CRAP and requesting a CD. HOLY CRAP, P.O. - INFLICTED-*Mindseye*-Hailing from the Cincinnati, OH area, INFLICTED come at the listener with five songs of intense modern day thrashcore sounding influenced by both PANTERA and 80s thrash. Songs like 'Discretion', and 'Fallen' are mosh friendly rockers that would get any crowd going into a frenzy and 'Layers of Skin' is a slower headbanging fist raiser that shows INFLICTED are ready to show the world what they got. - IRON MAIDEN-*Brave New World* (Portrait/Columbia)-HELL YEAH!!! The long awaited new album from the greatest band ever, IRON MAIDEN was released in 2000. And with Bruce Dickinson and Adrian Smith back in the mix, it wasn't a matter of would the album be good, but a matter of just how good would the new one be. Well let me tell you, this was the BEST album of 2000! This is the album that should have followed *Seventh Son of a Seventh Son*. 'The Wicker Man' [nominated for a Grammy], 'Ghost of the Navigator', and 'Brave New World' are just three of the soon-to-be classic tracks that come from an album that contains not one lame song (It is standard that every song on an IRON MAIDEN is a classic but the last four albums were only 3/4 classic songs, 1/4 good but not classic songs). EVERY SONG IS A SOON-TO-BE-CLASSIC from this 10-track mega album. If you don't already own *Brave New World* do yourself a favor and GO PICK IT UP the second you are finished reading this review.-Chris Lee
