- ZANISTER-*Fear No Man* (Leviathan)-Melodic power metal from the latest David T. Chastain project. This album features the twin guitar attack of six-string phenoms David T. Chastain and Michael Harris. *Fear No Man* focuses more on songwriting than on 'legendary guitar status' playing and working around vocalist Brian Sarvela's terrific voice. And with that in mind, they set out and accomplished what they wanted. A CD full of good metal songs. Harris and Chastain still pump out the killer guitar work and this CD does not disappoint, showing that true metal will never die. Leviathan Records, P.O. - 11TH HOUR-self-titled-This CD contains eight songs of late 70s/early 80s sounding metal. 11th Hour stay true to the old ways of metal, bringing to mind bands like SAMSON, DIAMOND HEAD, GRIM REAPER, UFO, SAXON, early 80s OZZY, and late 70s SCORPIONS. They even include the mandatory metal power ballad. The lead guitarist is amazing and obviously highly influenced by Randy Rhoads. Those that embrace the old style of metal with open arms and want to help keep the true metal flame alive in the new century should look into picking this up.
