8/31/03, All of the CMAC students performed well at US Nationals, held in Pittsburgh, PA. As a team we won five gold, four silver, and seven bronze medals in the internal Chinese martial arts divisions. Congratulations Juli, Andy, and Ben!

 

Two families were generous enough to host the CMAC team: Jon and Rhonda Snow and the family of Linda Powell. Thank you for your hospitality.

 

In addition, Andrew Baker, Dave Lundgren, Juli McGreevy, Linda Powell, Andrew Smeltz, and Jon Snow passed the USWU Level 2 judges certification. Linda Powell was the only participant to pass with a 100%. Congratulations Linda!

3/10/03, The Chinese Martial Arts Center was well represented at the Arnold Battle of Columbus. As a team we came away with eight gold, four silver, and three bronze medals in the internal Chinese martial arts divisions. Congratulations Juli, Andy, and Kevin!

 

Special thanks to Diane Weicksel and Jasmine Burrell who opened their home to the CMAC team. Thanks to them we were well rested and nourished the weekend of the competition. We can't thank them enough for their hospitality.

 

1/23/03, Fox will have four camera crews at the Arnold Fitness Expo and one of those cameras will be dedicated to the Martial Arts World Games. The end product will be a one hour show on the competition. National Geographic will also have a camera crew at the competition filming for a documentary on movement.

 

1/20/03, Gearing up for 2003 training and competition schedule. There's a lot happening. Professor Li will be visiting in April. Hopefully, Master Bow Sim Mark will visit sometime this year. Nationals will be held near Pittsburgh in August. See the calendar for dates and other events and competitions.
