His motto: "I do what I want! You have problem!?" Quina is an odd creature that has an unknown gender. He reminds me of Gogo from FF3. Quina can only be recruited from the Qu's Marsh on the Mist Continent. S/He/It is of the race of Qu, and therefore speaks quite primitively. Also, It is a gourmand, so it is sent out by Master Quale of the Qu race to travel the world searching for good foods to eat. It loooooves frogs!
Quina's Abilities and Skills
Quina fights with a huge fork. Therefore, he can eat things on the battlefield. By using the "Eat" command, Quina can not only eat and remove the enemy from the field, but also learn a Blue Magic ability. Blue magic can heal, cause both negative and positive status effects, and hurt enemies. In order to eat the enemy, however, it must be weakened. If you select the "Eat" command, Quina will let you know if the enemy is not weak. If s/he/it can eat it, then s/he/it will do so. If you use Garnet's "Scan" ability, then you can figure out how much HP the enemy has. If you cast "Slow" or "Mini", it will aid in the digestion process.
Quina's physical attacks cause an unpredictable amount of damage each time he attacks. Therefore, you must teach him as many skills and Blue Magic as possible to make him useful.

Quina's Trances
When Quina is in Trance mode, he can use his "Eat" ability more effectively.
Quina's Frog Catching Game
Whenever you enter the pond area of a Qu's Marsh (there are four in all) with Quina, s/he/it will ask you if s/he/it can catch frogs. If you say yes, the hunt begins. You must maneuver Quina around the pond(s) and catch the frogs as they hop onto the banks of the pond(s). Each time you reach a certain amount of frogs, Master Quale will reward s/he/it with items and equipment. When Quina catches 99 frogs, s/he/it, can challenge Master Quale to see who is the new master.
Another reason to catch frogs is that the power of Quina's Frog Drop ability depends on the # of frogs that have been captured. Here is the formula: Quina's Level X the amount of frogs = HP damage. Frog Drop damage is non-elemental, and it never misses.
