Tom
Tom is a year and a half old, and as full-grown as they get. He even has a full beard. Globble-globble. Don't let this big fellow scare you, he's full of hot-air, literaly. The reason why his chest is so big is because he has puffed up his "bladder" full of air. Talk about long-winded.
Tom and Jake
Here's both of the boys. Jake is the bigger one with the lighter tail. He isn't even a year old yet as he was born this summer. If you've never seen turkey's together it is really pretty funny. Turkeys do not fight over females, they display over them, and the hens choose. Well these guys started displaying.....and never stopped. They have completely forgotten about the hens. Well believe me the hens are not too happy about that and sometimes the boys get quite a beating from them. If you've never seen a turkey display, 2 males will walk around in circles puffing up with big "Phump!" noises, then throw their heads out at once for a big "GLOBBLE!" All this is a big cordinated dance, and everything is done in tandem.
