Britney Spears Reacts To Terrorist Attack, New Album Titled 'Britney'

Britney Spears arrived safely in Australia after traveling by airplane from New York. Spears was in New York City on Monday (September 10), when she performed her new single, "I'm A Slave 4 U," on The Rosie O'Donnell Show. The teen singer was already in an airplane on her way to Australia as the tragic events unfolded in New York City on Tuesday morning (September 11).

Spears was in Australia for a Sydney press conference that was scheduled for yesterday (September 13), but she canceled the media event, calling it inappropriate in light of the terrorist attack on America. Spears said in a statement, "I do not feel it appropriate to hold a press conference here in Australia for the launch of my album."

She added, "This pales in comparison to what we have just witnessed. My thoughts and condolences are with our fellow citizens who have lost their lives, and with their friends and families. Words can't describe how I feel right now." Spears owns a loft in New York City's Greenwich Village that is currently occupied by her older brother Bryan. Spears's new album Britney is due out November 6.
