Britney dumped again?
January 31, 2003
The on-off relationships of pop princess Britney Spears, 21, show no signs of abating as she has been reportedly dumped by Irish actor Colin Farrell after just four days together.
Reports said the singer was in tears after the brief affair with the Minority Report star ended.
They attended a premiere in LA this week, but now he has apparently given her the boot because she is "too clingy".
Recently she was supposedly seen snogging ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake, 22, following the American Music Awards.
The couple broke up last year after more than three years together.
Timberlake was said to be dating Hollywood D-lister Demi Moore of late.
Spears was also linked to Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst. He has said on the band's website that she is a "sweet amazing girl" who had made him feel like he has never felt before.
"Anybody out there who has a serious problem with my feelings for Britney should just chill and worry about your own feelings for a minute," he wrote.
"You can't help what happens in life because everything happens for a reason ... I am a good judge of character and so is she.
"I believe that I have never felt this way, so there."
Adding to Spears' woes, the singer last week was seeking a restraining order against an alleged Japanese stalker, Masahiko Shizawa, 41, who is accused of sending love notes.
His lawyer has said the circumstances are due to a "cultural misunderstanding".
But, she claims he sent her photos of himself and a note saying "I'm chasing you".
According to court papers, Britney alleges that Mr Shizawa has been stalking her since last September, tracking her to the homes of her divorced parents, her California home, and a home she owns outside the state.
However, his lawyer told a brief court hearing: "He's a VIP in Japan. He had no intent" to disturb her, without expanding on his remarks.
