Pop tart Britney Spears' lip lock with Ma-donna at the MTV Video Music Awards didn't go over well with her dad Jamie Spears.

"She has to live with it but I don't approve of what she did, not one bit," Mr. Spears, 51, said outside his house in Louisiana, throwing his hands up in apparent disgust. "I hate the way she's acting lately but I hardly ever see her any more to make my opinion known." Others in and around Britney's hometown of Kentwood, La., population 2,205, told Star they feel the same way as her dad. "My husband and I don't even kiss like she did with Madonna," harrumphed one resident. Her over-the-top behavior has some of them wondering if she might end up giving the place a bad name after all.

Britney Spears can skip testifying in court against an alleged stalker. The judge thinks she'll cause too much commotion.

The pop queen is trying to get a permanent order against a 43 year old Japanese businessman who she claims has been stalking her for quite a while - including allegedly sending her photos of himself and notes saying "I'm chasing you."
