Film star and model Elizabeth Hurley switched on the Christmas lights in her newly-adopted home town of Cirencester.
The actress was guest of honour at the town's market square.
"I've lived in a lot of countries across the world, and a lot of towns, but I have to say there's not a town in the world I'd rather live in than Cirencester," she told a large group of fans.
Hundreds packed the square to watch the Austin Powers and Bedazzled star flick the switch.
One onlooker said she looked "stunning" .
Taking the microphone as she walked on stage Ms Hurley said: "I was unbelievably honoured when I was asked to turn the lights on."
