Biography |
A native of Duluth, Minnesota, Gena
Lee Nolin and her family moved to Las Vegas for her senior year
in high school. At the recommendation of friends, she entered
and won the Miss Las Vegas contest. She quickly gained the attention
of several modeling agencies, winning the Ford Agency and Elite
Agency regional "Look of the Year" contests and the Miss Barbizon
USA national title.
After graduation, Gena headed to Los Angeles to pursue an acting
career. Like many aspiring actors, she paid her dues waiting tables
at places like The Larry Parker Diner. She also attended Santa
Monica college where she studied interior design.
In 1994, Gena saw an ad in the paper for The Price Is Right. At
the cattle-call audition, she beat out hundreds of others, winning
a spot as one of the showcase models.
