Kate Groombridge
FHM's favourite lingerie model proves once again that she looks fine in any flimsy snippets of material...

When visiting foreign climes there are many strange ways to find yourself banged up in a stinking jail having your bottom felt by a toothless, whiskered oaf. Examples of such bizarre rule-making can be found in Indiana, where it's illegal to carry a fishing rod into a cemetery; in Hawaii, which has an odd law that inhibits the grass skirt wearing natives to insert a "penny" into their ears; and unfortunate parents in Mesquite could find themselves banged up just because they've allowed their children to sport an "unusual" haircut....

Supermodel Kate Groombridge took extra precautions to avoid spending a night in the cells in Borneo, where she shot these awesome pictures, because it's illegal to bathe topless. "In my line of work you can't have a bikini line so I couldn't sunbathe on the beach opposite the hotel," says the 20-year-old. "Myself and Jordan nipped around the corner, which was more out of sight, and sunbathed topless on the rocks." Although Kate's quick to point out she's not a total exhibitionist when it comes to stripping off for the beach. "I'm not the sort of person who walks up and down the beach wearing a thong and showing off," says the girl from Adlington in Kent. "It does annoy me that you get lines when you sunbathe, but I wouldn't go to a nudist beach, I think a lot of people who go there are a bit odd. If I want to tan that little white bit, I use a sunbed."

As much as she enjoys topping up the tan, Kate admits she's not one for just lying flat out soaking up the sun for two weeks, and on a recent visit to Australia she pulled on a wetsuit and wobbled about on a surf board. "My friends all go surfing in Cornwall, so I thought, 'Well I'm on Bondi beach, I should give it a go.' There had just been a storm so the waves were huge. I stood up, but then the board flew and whacked me in the face. I almost broke my nose - I was in agony."

However, Kate's idea of an idyllic vacation isn't on a perfect white beach sipping exotic cocktails - it's holed up in a damp cottage in Ireland knocking back the black stuff. "Me and my mum always go every year to the same place in Foxford in County Mayo to do some fishing," says Kate. "We also go to the same local pub. I love the Guinness, but it's not very good for keeping the weight down. But when I go there I'll let myself go - I've often woken up and wondered how I've got home and what happened in the last three hours of the evening..."
